John Elisha Randall and Nancy Clemons
John
Elisha Randall, born April 26, 1812 in Woodstock, Connecticut, died March 8,
1874 in Forestville,Md., married Nancy Clemons, born December 25, 1812 in
Worchester, Ma., died October 12, 1897 at Forestville, Maryland, They are both
buried at
Centerville Methodist Church, Forest Grove, which is now part of Andrews Air
Force Base. The church, used as a camp during the war between the states,is now
known as Chapel #2. This chapel is directly across from the hanger that houses
Air Force One, The Presidential Plane.
John moved with his
family from Ontario, New York to Forestville,Md in the 1850's, where he
purchased land. There were 6 children born at the time of the move and the 7th
was born later. John had left New York to get away from the colder climate which
affected his health. He later died in 1874, at 62 years of age.
They had the

Charles Wesley Randall, born September 18,1845 in Ontario, New York

Mary Ann Randall, born June 14, 1852 in Ontario,New York
John Waight Randall, born June 12, 1852 in Forestville, Md.
