Hi....!!!

 

This is such a beautiful, pleasant, sunny day here in the Yucatan Peninsula.  It makes one glad to be alive and to be able to remain active for the Lord.  Yesterday we had 91 degrees...!!    We hope you are enjoying a nice day too, and that you experience the blessings of our Father in your life today.

 

Yesterday, Louise and I left a little early and drove off out into the country to a quiet little village called Bethania.  There, I preached the morning message at the Beautiful Gate Baptist Church.   This name comes from the old English - The Gate Called Beautiful.  In Spanish it is:  La Puerta Hermosa.   We were going to make a picture for you, but the pastor suggested that we wait a few few days.  They have just repainted their building and do not have the name up on the front yet.

 

We had a lovely Sunday morning service.  I think it helped all of us to feel the closeness of our Lord.

 

Several months ago, I did the wedding of the son of the pastor and the daughter of the pastor of Christ is the Life Church.  Their marriage sort of tied together, not only two families, but two churches as well.  The newly wedded couple lives in Bethania and help in the church. 

 

This pastor has been faithful in the Lord's service for about 16 years.  However, since it is a small town, and a small church, no one ever thought anything about his need to be ordained.  In think that, in our next fellowship meeting, I will suggest this to the other pastors.  We also have two other pastors to be ordained soon.
