The Country in Winter...
The country in winter is a beautiful sight,
With new fallen snow which came in the night.
Snow covered fences with white little caps,
And limbs hanging so low they're ready to snap.
The fire inside casts a warm kind of glow,
On the windows trimmed neatly with ice and snow.
The smoke from the chimney rising so high,
Curling up and around, reaching high in the sky.
The country in winter is a beautiful sight,
Tis one of God's gifts, snow in the night.
