Carpet Bomber (BMB)

Also called heavy bomber, this plane may be used in one of three ways.  It may strategically bomb enemy cities, attack enemy units in a land or sea combat zone or it may drop up to two paratrooping units.
All of these expose the heavy bomber to any existing anti-air defensive units.  It may fly over other player's zone's in relative safety if a fly-over agreement had been reached.  While they are not cheap at 21 credits, they seem really expensive when lost in combat.

When dropping paratroopers, there is a 1-in-6 chance that one of the units will perish in the attempt; regardless of how many units jump.

Carpet bombers are the most effective means of strategic bombing, doing up to 10 credit's-worth of damage.  If doing enough strategic damage in combination with multiple units or other types, the enemy cities may lose economic and production capacity.

They are a very effective attacking unit when taking on enemy forces at land or sea, destroying their targets 66.6% of the time.  They are barely capable of defense, so they shouldn't be stationed closest to enemy fronts.  Unescorted transport ships and landing ships are extremely tempting targets.
