| Attack Helicopter (ATH) |
Primarily used for assaulting armoured units, this is the least expensive air unit with any real offensive capability. It has as much capability for destroying targets in attacking or defending. It's price tag is a hefty 14 credits, but is ideal to use in conjuction with land forces for combined assaults. It is subject to anti-air defenses like any other air unit. Attack choppers, unlike jet or bomber aircraft, may land in a just-captured land-zone to provide some anti-air defense that might not be available otherwise. Often, it's a good idea for use in accompanying transport helicopters when other air assets aren't available. |
