Gretchen's Wood & Others is Ran's debute Lovecraftian Horror collection published by Publish America. When Ran began writing Lovecraftian Horror, he followed the established conventions of the genre which included established settings. But with the mood and atmosphere to be found in the woods of southern Columbiana County and along the meandering path of Beaver Creek, it didn't take Ran long to start writing "Columbiana County Lovecraftian Horror." And that's what this collection is - Lovecraftian Horror stories set in Columbiana County, Ohio.
The woods, rolling hills, and creek bottoms of Columbiana County have a breath taking natural beauty all their own. However, with local legends, ghost stories, or the early morning mist rising from the creeks, Ran says it doesn't take much of a stretch of the imagination to see something more sinister. Especially when the sun starts to set.

Rainfall Books has released Ran's Y'HA-NTHLIE RISING chapbook. Y'HA-NTHLIE RISING contains the Lovecraftian horror stories "Innsmouth Harvest," "Y'ha-nthlie Rising," and "Of Gods & Aliens."
Rainfall Books has released Ran's TALES OF NEPHREN KA chapbook. TALES OF NEPHREN KA contains the Lovecraftian horror stories "The Circle," "The Chronicler," "The Coming," and "The Candidate."
Rainfall Books has released Ran's TALES OF ZOTHIQUE, Volume 1 chapbook. TALES OF ZOTHIQUE, Volume 1 contains fantasy stories set in Clark Ashton Smith's last continent of Zothique. The stories in this volume are "The Snow Crystal," "A Moment out of Time," and "The Dying Shall Die."
Rainfall Books will be publishing Ran's TALES OF ZOTHIQUE, Volume 2 chapbook, scheduled for release in February 2008. TALES OF ZOTHIQUE, Volume 2 contains fantasy stories set in Clark Ashton Smith's last continent of Zothique. The stories in this volume are "The House of Tuluroch," "Night Shades of Ilcar," and "The Final Swan Song."
