friends I had been born and brought up in Sarkarpathy. Its a small TNEB quarters area situated in 31Kms from Pollachi|, Coimbatore|, Tamil Nadu. Pollach is situated 40kms from Coimbatore is known for its scenic beauty. It is on the way to Parambikulam-Alliyar project. It is an important town and commercial centre. There are beautiful stone carvings like a five hooded serpant, a Yali with a chain in its mouth and carved zodiaz signs in the Subramanya temple situated in the town.


Top Slip Valpari

The Parambikulam - Aliyar Multipurpose water Project coordinates Tamil Nadu and Kerala States mutually. Tamil Nadu government is getting water from Kerala State and compensating by giving Electricity. This project consists of a series af dams interconnected by tunnels and canals at various elevation in order to harness the Parambikulam, Aliyar, Nirar, Sholiyar, Thunkadavu, Thenkkadi and Palar rivers, laid for irrigation and power generation. The scheme is an outstanding example of engineering skill. It is located in Anamalai forest range.


Around my area Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary is situated. So usually U can watch lot of animals in my place. Now Pollachi is emerging as one of fast growing industrial town in Tamil Nadu. Pollachi is also very famous for its out-door cinema shooting. Aliyar Water Reserviour is main water resource for agriculture and drinking purpose in Pollachi.


Vasantham Spring Top Slip is one of the famous visiting spot in Pollachi. There are lots of animals and birds can be viewed in Top Slip area.Top Slip National Park and a medicinal plant conservation area. It is famous for its elephant camp at Kollikamuthi and its wildlife. It got its name during the British era as lots of timber slipped down to the plains below.


Another main place around Pollachi is Valpari. Valpari is famous for its tea plantations which are surrounded ny evergreen and delicious forests.This place is also full of elephants. There are two peaks, aptly called Akka mallai(Elder sister) and Thangachi mallai(Younger sister).
