Features:
Yet another knock off of the
venerable (and much copied) Knox class frigate, this is
simply reworking components of the Gettysburg class into a Knox
type profile. The saucer section was enlarged to make way for
the horizontal warp reactor and accompanying control systems and the
relocating of the impulse drive. The ruggedness of the
spaceframe components and advanced level of technology used in her
onboard systems
Mission:
The Tomahawk class is
Starfleet's latest effort to modernize its Frigate wings and bring
them up to 24th century standards. As with most other frigate
classes, the Tomahawk is geared towards standard patrol and
recconaissance missions along with light combat and various support
duties.
