McNown needs work. The Bears don't really have an NFL starting Qb on the roster right now. He got one flaw but man it manifested itself right out of the box last night. He just will not be able to put up those floaters like at UCLA. He got spoiled by the Bruin receiving corp IMHO and I don't think he throws those balls out of need but because he could. I mean I think he's got plenty of arm and he bounced back but that facet of his game has to go for him to make an impact...
Faulk was thinking too much I believe. In some situations where all that was required were the jets that he's got he got caught looking around a bit. Over the course of a full game like that though my bet is that he still woulda got off 2-3 runs/catches that woulda hurt the Bears...
This team's ground game right now looks like it misses Ernie Conwell. Really that block on a LB is what's gonna be the real spring for Faulk and co. From what I could gather Stumbles thought he was still scrappin on the practice field...sloppy night from the TE spot...
