The software we are currently using has the potential for y2K bugs because it is written to an older level of Perl. We've tested it on a new version of Perl - a version of Perl that is to be released prior to the year 2000 to fix bugs. The problem is that this program grabs the date and does math to figure out which post to order in front of the other. With the new Perl library, the order of posts came out wrong and it was confusing. The posts all said "HOT" too because it calculated a negative date which causes all posts to be "hot".

But will the software still run? Yes. But by judging from the comments of some people who get upset when the background color is changed, this Y2K problem might send you all away screaming and running for the hills.

We also are hooking into a network that has the computing power equivalent to Yahoo. It is a strong new sports network that will be able to handle millions of posts per day. This software craps out if we get a decent hot breaking news story.

You are all invited to Email if you want more information. We are fan operated. We take the time to explain things. It is unfair for NFLfans to have worked in the background to support the Rams Admins' wished to have their own virtual server and their own domain and now hear that we're somehow out to wreck things. We're trying to survive. If you grow and you cannot meet the growth, you die. We're willing to take the chance that you're going to give us the benefit of the doubt and stick with us as we lead.... thats what we're trying to do ...lead. If we stay where we are, we'll need MORE ADS to stay alive and we'll still have a limit to growth. And when we cannot provide any serviceable message board to handle your growth... you leave for sure!

Anyway, thats the facts as I know them.

I have talked privately to many of you and as the natives get restless, I will attempt to answer some of your questions. We are moving into a much larger sports network. The software will change as well as the message boards. The new look you will see is better then anything out there, one word to describe it--"Unbelievable!" The new look you see here is to ease you into the new look over on the new message boards.

The new message boards have some excellent new features that I am sure you will enjoy using. You as the user will be able to customize your own interface, number of posts shown, how the post is shown etc. There will be a lot more traffic so we will have to have multiple boards. We will have user registration as well. There will also be a free-for-all board (no registration necessary).  We can put up boards in a few minutes to accomodate subject matter that isnt desireable on a main board.

This move will be a big change but I believe it will be a change for the better, and I am very excited about all of it. THERE WILL BE NO DOWN TIME IN THIS MOVE, I WILL WORK OVERTIME AND LATE INTO THE WEE HOURS OF THE MORNING TO MAKE SURE OF IT. We will be your one stop for all your NFL information. All in all great things are ahead for everyone here.
