Here is some skinny about Trent Green from mini camp and practice that I learned.

1. In order to compensate for his ordinary  arm (its not weak, just not outstanding) he makes  very very quick decisions on where to go with  the ball-much quicker than what we are used to seeing even going back to Chris Miller. With  the Redskins by the time he had finished a three-step drop he could be all the way through the 3rd guy in the pattern.

 2. When he throws his ball is point end up as  opposed to down. If you were a high school or college receiver you know those types of balls are easier to catch and don't tend to bounce  out like a ball point end down. Marino throws  point end up even though he guns the ball.

3. He is not afraid to throw or try to throw in between two people but throw so early into the pattern and has such a compact delivery that the defense usually does not have time to react to the ball.

4. He is very very good at play action fakes...almost the equal of Steve Deberg my  personal yardstick for years at that task.

5. Maybe most importantly....Isaac Bruce likes him and likes catching his passes.
