Toby is a bruiser. One of the hardest hitters in the league. If he's healthy, they'll love him wherever he playes, as most of the fans did in St.Louis. When he's healthy, he's a playmaker who can change the course of a game.
All Rams fans remember one game against the Giants when Wright put a hit on the Tiki Barber early in the game that was so ferocious it actually deflated the entire Giants offense right then and there, and in fact the Giants really never were the same for the whole rest of the game.
On the other hand, Toby has hardly played over the last two seasons due to numerous leg injuries including surgery to both knees. He may never be the same player he once was.
I hope he's healthy and does well wherever he goes. He is not just a football player--Toby has one of the greatest personalities and most genuine hearts of any one in the game today. When Toby came here with the team in 1995, he moved his family here for support, and he also brought his Wright To Dream Foundation with him. This foundation has done wonders for children whose parents can't afford to buy tickets to games.
He runs free camps and clinics, and hosts charity events to raise money to help inner city kids. He would have Ram teammates, Cardinal players, Blues players, and all kinds of other types of entertainers
I heard Toby on the radio Friday morning and he has already said that he will continue his camps, clinics, and his other charity events in whatever city he lands in.
Whoever gets him is not only getting a great football player, but a great citizen.
