Frequently Asked Questions bout The Sims

As you know or have seen, Kathleen and Steph are top-notch Sim FREAKS. Kat is too.. but her aunt stole the disk so yeah. On that trail, though, we've gotten some questions about the game and we're here to answer em!

Q1: How the hell do I play this?!
A1: Welcome to the n00b world, my friend. If you want to get a hands-on instruction of how to play, simply click the "Newbie house" in your neighborhood. Otherwise, you click the mouse to move around and click on objects to use them. It's pretty self-explanatory..

Q2: Why do they have to go to the bathroom all the time?
A2: Sims are very different than humans in the bladder department. They can eat a hamburger and have to go to the bathroom right after. They have realllly sucky storage compartments, if you know what I mean. Anyways, the best thing, much less the only thing you can do is make sure they always have a good bladder level, or they'll be pissing all over your floor.

Q3: I'm broke. Waaah. Help me!
A3: You, my friend, need a job. To do this, check in your daily newspaper for a job listing. Accept it and you're on your way to work. You'll get paid every day, and you may have to increase your skills to get promoted. Also, going to work in a great mood is always a plus.

Q4: How do I get them un-depressed?
A4: If your Sim is depressed, it probably means that their mood bars are low. You can see their moods by clicking on the mask button at the bottom. For a completely happy and healthy Sim, each bar should be maxed high and be green. The most important ones are Energy, Hunger, Bladder, and Comfort.

Q5: Why does my person keep passing out?
A5: Ah, your Sim has had an overdose of the Sandman. See the energy bar? It's more than likely full out red. To prevent your Sim from passing out, put them to sleep in a bed or have them nap on the couch as the bar goes low. Then, your Sim will awaken hours later fully refreshed!

Q6: My kitchen keeps burning down. Why?
A6: The common Sim problem, fires. If you don't know what to do, buy a smoke detector to go in your kitchen. This automatically alerts the fire department if a fire has broken out and they will arrive right away. If you want to be able to cook without burning your house down, read a cooking book and increase your cooking skills. This way, you'll be able to be a great cook without the fire.
