Lakewood Mental Institution is locally owned and run by the Old Coal Junction community.
Mental patients from three states are brought here to keep society safe.
Rumours have run rampant of terrible violence toward the inmates for decades, but State inspectors have as of yet been unable to prove these charges.
Surprisingly, many of the inmates upon being released, are taken in by the Old Coal Junction community, cutting all ties with relatives and friends.
These people simply disappear.
