A Thankful Day…

Let me start by saying, THANK YOU Singapore for their sincerity and truthfulness in the world that makes these traits very scarce. Once again the faith in fellow Humans (to be precise Singaporeans) has been restored multifold in me.

 

It’s really hard to put my feelings into words, the happiness I felt when my company’s admin person called me on 12.03.2002 at around 10.30 AM and informed me that they had received a letter from the Clementi Police Station, stating the wallet has been found and it could be collected by me between 9.00 AM and 5.00 PM.

 

My joy knew no bounds after hearing the message (In spite of me getting all the plastic that I lost along with the wallet on 04.03.2002).

 

When I was feeling bad about my lost wallet Mrs.Ammudavally, my friend at NUS opened up her husband’s experience and was positive that I will get it back.

 

Till 12.03.2002 I either heard or read about other’s experience in this regard, but today it was a personal experience of mine.

 

After collecting my wallet and thanking the officer, I was inquisitive as to know how the wallet reached the Police Station. To smother the thirst of my curiosity the Police Officer gave me the name & phone number of the person who deposited the wallet at the station when found in the bus. 

 

My Sincere thanks to Ms Lim Yishi (she is the one who deposited my wallet at the NPP). I am beholden and her act is laudable. once again Hats Off to Singapore and its citizens. I now know why many crave to be in this wonderful land where one can feel well taken care off by the common man as well as the administration.
