Chopper / B_frame_side1

This is the first in a series of pictures I took after I stripped the bike, chopped off the rear section, made a jig to hold everything nice and straight and built the new rigid tail section. Sound easy? It took about two hours to strip the bike, one hour to chop off the original tail section, three days of measuring and planning. Then I threw the whole mess into the back of the truck and hauled it to the shop at 8:00 in the morning. Spent four hours building the jig, left to go play my very first game of cricket, out for a duck. Then back to the shop the next day at 1:00 pm, I got home at 10:30 pm and took these pictures. Nothing happens fast when you are building from scratch. The bars are a piece of 316 Stainless tubing.
