    This Royal Black Preceptory was form in Ramea on April 20, 1964 by Right Worshipful Sir  Knight Auburn Lethbridge of the Provincial Black Chapter of Newfoundland and Labrador.
    The Preceptory is named in honour of Bishop Abraham, the father of the Reverend Charles Abraham who served this Parish as a replacement Clergy a few years back.
    The Precoptory has had a number of Worshipful Preceptors over the 36 years of its history in this Community including Sir Knight Henry Dominie (deceased) its first Preceptor, Sir Knight James Coley (deseased) its second Preceptor, Sir knight Thomas Pink its third Preceptor, Sir Knight Arch Pink its fourth Preceptor and Sir Knight Lloyd Rossiter who is the present Preceptor.
    The Preceptory currently has 36 members, two of whom are officers of the Provincial grand Black Chapter of Newfoundland and Labrador, namely Right Worshipful Sir Knight Leslie G. Cutler who is a Grand Committeeman and Right Worshipful Sir Knight Lloyd Rossiter who is a Grand Standard Bearer.
    The Preceptory is presently active in this community and contributes to practically all charitable causes in the community and outside of the community when finances allow it.
    The Preceptory meets twice monthly at the Orange Lodge throughout the fall and winter months.
