Ramakrishna Foundation is a non-profit charitable corporation. It was established for charitable purposes in January 1996 under the Cailfornia Corporation law to enable people living in the United States to give direct help and support to any religious organization that promotes religious harmony, to foster cultural and educational activities that fosters harmony of religions and to all schools, colleges, orphanages and hospitals affiliated to such institutions and to offer charitable assistance to organizations and individuals who can help to achieve foundation's objectives. The mailing address for sending the check should be: All checks are preferably sent to the above address.Attn: Mr. Debiprosad Nayak, We ask the donors to include an additional amount of $15.00 for each transaction towards the cost of registered mail etc. to the intended recipient in India. Alternatively, we deduct $15.00 from the original amount forwarded. For example, for sending an amount of $100.00 to India, you may send a check for $115.00 for forwarding an amount of $100.00. Otherwise, only an amount of $85.00 will be forwarded to the intended recipient. |

It should be emphasized here that the recipient organizations should be recognized as charitable tax-exempt religious organizations by the Govt. of the country of the receiving organization and their objectives are similar to the Ramakrishna Foundation's objectives as mentioned above. | ||||||

to these ideals, for e.g., is The Ramakrishna Math and Mission. We get
appeal for funds from many Ramakrishna Math and Missions all over India,
which was the recipient of the prestigious Gandhi
Peace Prize in 1998 as well.

"As you are aware, we are raising funds for the extension of our Ashrama for which we need $506,000. We have so far collected about 42% of the amount. Most of the people whom we know, have responded with their contributions. We are at a loss whom to approach now for the balance amount. Can you suggest us some names whom we can approach for help ?
