May 2006 – June 2006

Temporary Library Assistant: Lunder Library, Kennebec Valley Community College. I shelved library items. I fulfilled ILL and article requests. I sent out overdue notices. I checked in serial items. I made the monthly display of library items. I put new items on display. I checked in/out library items for patrons. I assisted patrons in retrieving library items, making photocopies, and using computer applications. I cleaned up the library web site. I made library web pages. I assisted in gathering statistics.

Spring 2003 - 2006

Computer Lab Attendant: Computer Services, University of Maine at Augusta/Bangor Campus. I assisted students with various computer applications. I helped students with login tasks. I helped them activate their student accounts and informed them of available services. I staffed the Computer Services Help Desk.

Fall 2002 & Spring 2004

Library Aide: Bangor Campus Library, University of Maine at Augusta/Bangor Campus. I staffed the circulation desk. I checked in and checked out library items for patrons. I shelved library items. I worked on special projects. I made a web page of college catalog web sites. Also, the storage area had become disorganized; I organized the storage area and put all the books on the shelves into alphanumeric order.

Winter 1995 - Present

Farm Hand: Special Acres Farm, Hermon, Maine. On a daily basis I provide food and water for the chickens, goats, and horses. I put the horses in outside enclosures during the day and in stalls at night. I keep barn clean. I make minor repairs when needed and work on small projects. I perform other various chores as needed.

Volunteer Experience

Winter 2002 – Present

I staff the front desk every Tuesday evening at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bangor, Maine. I give hospital visitors directional information. I answer the phone. I connect calls to patients and hospital departments. I deliver mail, sell newspapers, and assist a visitor or patient with a wheelchair when needed. I keep written front desk census up to date.
