Also known as the Hedge Hog Pot 

      This is one of the few pieces that is not Raku fired, it was made using the soda fired process, basically it is the same process of a gas firing but then a "soda burrito" is added.  The soda is vaporized, when the kiln cools the soda settles on the piece.  When using the soda fire process it is not even needed to glaze the pot.

        Also there a small problem I encountered when making this piece, the piece is composed of two pieces. The bottom and the lid.  My intention was to make a lid that you could not see the separation, however in the time it took to dry the lid shrunk inward and the base shrunk downward.  I original though it was caused buy the lack of an internal structure however the same thing happened.  I have made a third pot like this but only one piece, there has been no distortion.
