Letter to the Editor
Dear Editor,
First of all I would like to express my BHINTUNAA greetings to all of the NPPA fellow friends. I am proud that DABUU - the only magazine that promotes the culture, language and heritage of the Newa people living in America and abroad, is entering its 6th annual issue on the Day of MHA PUJA.
Thanks to the then founders (editor-in-chief Dr. Manoranjan Dhoubadel, other editors and the NPPA executive committee including the first NPPA president Mr. Ram Malakar) and contributors for giving birth to this kind of magazine. Of course, equal appreciation goes to the effort of the past president Mr. Tribhuvan Tuladhar, current NPPA president Dr. Tulsi Maharjan, other editors and contributors who have been continuously working to make the DABUU issues published every year. I hope that we will be able to keep up with this tradition while raising also the quality of this magazine in all aspects. So this eventually requires everybody's involvement.
Next, dear editor, I would like to suggest that this magazine makes an effort to publish or bring before the Newa people living abroad "the current news and information on the activities that are taking place in Nepal to promote the Newa culture, language and heritage". I think this will be a very valuable information for those Newa people who are living abroad. This may also be a means of generating interest and resource from among the Newa people and others to further support and enrich our on going efforts here through the NPPA and other similar organizations. One suggestion is to include an additional topic (e.g. News and Information) in the DABUU magazine WWW Home page of the NPPA created by Raju and Sumitra Maharjan who have been doing a wonderful job. If not, news and information collected for the past year can be published in a short form in the annual DABUU magazine. Thanks for publishing my opinion in DABUU.
