Random Update

I hate this layout. I need to change it. ARGH. I found out something about myself yesterday that, well, was a little bit shocking. But I'm not going to post it here, so IM me if you want to know and if I feel like youre a good enough friend I'll confide in you. I find it odd that today was the first time that I talked to a certain friend in over two months (he wanted a ride home) and I just told him without even being asked. That was definitely weird. But...hmm. The jazz ensemble is playing Malaguena and I am oozing with jealousy. cada vez te busco te vas, cada vez te llamo no estas, es por eso que debo decir que to sol es en mis fotos estas. Fotografia is such a kick ass song. It has officially been fall for 11 hours. ARGH. Did anyone else get depressed today at 12:30/11:30 eastern today? Alright, I need to do econ homework. Ill update again when I have something worth reading about.

Why I Don't Like Bush (and it's not because of Iraq!)

Ok, so for a while I was questioning as to whether or not I really did hate Bush. It's not even about Iraq anymore, even though I realize that it is a very important topic and that I really should develop a position on it so. However, I was reading cnn.com today, and I found this article. It made me really angry, that the president of our country is blatantly disregarding our rights as a people. Outside of his way-too-obvious disregard of seperation of church and state, he is telling people who they can or can't commit themselves to for a lifetime. Supporters of this outrageous amendment (which will never get passed; come ON now folks..) are using the idea that marriage is a sacred vow between a man and a woman. How ridiculous is that? Open your eyes, folks. Marriage just isn't held in the same sanctity it was 50 years ago. With a 50% divorce rate, how can you say that people who are gay/lesbian/bi/metro are destroying this so-called sanctity? I mean, look at the people who get married out of being drunk. Britney Spears and her jock friend from Louisiana, Dennis Rodman and Carmen Elektra, etc. etc. And what about Zsa Zsa Gabor? MEg Ryan? Why aren't these people being persecuted? Getting married 20 times, and cheating on your husband would be considered "destroying hte sanctity of marriage" too, would it not? yeesh. I know most of you won't agree with me on this. And yes, I understand that some people do get married a few times before they find their true love. Or if your partner dies. I'm just saying that getting divorced a billion times, and then blaming it on the fact that two people of the same sex are getting married all over the world, is wrong.

Screw you, Bush/Bush supporters. I totally know why you bother me so much now. And although I'm not a hardcore Kerry fan, him and Edwards certainly get points for opposing this outrageous measure.
