Amma:
My mom is more of a friend to me. I feel very comfortable talking to her on any topic. She has been the strong basement on which our family rests on. Everybody in our home looks upon her for anything and everything. She is very humorous and easy going that almost every one feels comfortable with her around. She has taken a lot of pains in moulding me and my brother. She has taught us to be independent and confident and has never forced any decisions on us.

She has an awesome lot of patience to put along with me and my brother. Even my friends kid her to her wits end and she would never mind. The financial guru of our family. It is rumored that even Dr Manmohan Singh took lessons from her on austerity - what a euphemism.

Appa:
I have not known my father for a very long time. I have always been a Mother's child and in fact I have never asked anything directly to my father. I have never known him scolding me or my brother. He has complete faith in Amma that he leaves everything to her judgements. After I joined my college, I realised my dad after seeing other dads. I had all along taken for granted the freedom he had given me. He has never forced a decision on me, never compared me with other children and always gave me money whenever I asked. Of course amma would always keep a watchful eye.

My Brother:

Dinesh is six years younger to me and he has been a great companion and friend to me. We share almost the same interest, although Appa says that in some aspects I have been a negative influence on him. On the other hand, I doubt if anybody can influence him because he is strong minded, intelligent and really street-smart. He is a real hard worker and sometimes I get inspired from him to work harder. I am proud that I had been able to contribute a little to his success till date.
I have shared all my dirty little secrets with him and we love to go to movies in the good old Grand Theter. We also love to watch Sachin Tendulkar's cricket, Milky Way Ice Creams and late night bike rides.

Thatha and Paatti:

Thatha and Paatti form the example of a perfect couple. Thatha and me are the most quarrelsome duo of the family. We would always be arguing on almost every topic. Our outlooks are totally different and we argue over topics ranging from politics, religion to sports. Our favourites being Kalaignar(just to irritate Thatha) and Sachin( although Thatha likes Sachin very much, he never admits it and just for the sake of making me mad he takes this topic). Thatha has been one of the few people I admire in the world. I think although we are always fighting, me and Thatha form a peculiar pair. I do not still agree with him in many aspects. I have come to accept it. He is what he is. He has a golden heart and his love for his grandchildren is something which cant be expressed in words. He forgives as easily as he gets angry. A small " Good Morning" every morning would pacify him of whatever anger he had on us the previous night. Paatti has been the soul companion of Thatha and after me and Dinesh stayed for 1 year with Thatha/Paatti only, we became very close to one another.
