I walked around for a while, but I was clueless and unskilled. I couldn't figure out where to go any better than a cockroach could navigate through a labyrinth. I searched five hours for the gem, but with the thickness of the brush, I could have stepped on it and not have known it. After a while and after I ate all my trail food, I knew I needed to get something to eat to keep my strength up. But how do I know that if I try to eat something, it won't try to eat me first? That seems to be a consistent thing in my life.
Then I heard something moving through the bushes towards me. I pulled out my element gun, and aimed towards the plant moving along the ground. It stopped two feet in front of me, and I was getting really scared that it was going to try and eat me. The bush shook a couple times, then all of a sudden, all the bushes were gone. All of them! All that was left were leaves from the trees, and half-naked Amazon women. I look back and I see her in a tree. As Beautiful as a rose and from the looks of her bow and arrow, she was the kind with thorns.
Suddenly an arrow hit my arm and stuck in the armor. I'm under attack! I started running away, then three more arrows stuck in the back of my armor, and I knew something had to be done. I saw that they weren't wearing armor of any sort, so I decided, firing at them with my element gun was a bad idea. I needed to think of something before the Femme Fatales got me. I decided taking a hostage would be the best way to escape.
I saw an Amazon woman behind a tree on the ground, and I ran over to her and tried to catch her but she kicked me onto my back, and pinned me with her foot. When I tried to get up I couldn't because I had seven pairs of feet holding me down. I was captured, I'm probably going to be sacrificed to their god. When I got there I was surprised.
They already had lots of food (strange looking but they weren't complaining), and a fresh pig on the alter. So what did they need me for? Then a midget Amazon walks up to me and starts talking in a dialect of Spanish but I can't make it out.
"Do you speak English? Habla Ingles?" I say to her. The midget woman looks at me funny then starts talking in pretty good English, saying, "Yes, I speak English." What a relief. At least now there is someone to talk to me.
"Why have they captured me?" I asked sincerely.
"We haven't captured you! We caught you as part of our annual tradition," she responded.
"What tradition would that be? Fire dancing? Bull riding?"
"No, nothing like that. We are just going to sear your flesh with red-hot pokers while we feed you insane amounts of food."
"Sear my flesh!!" I exclaim in terror.
The midget woman starts laughing hysterically.
"I'm joking! We aren't going to sear your flesh! We are going to feed you well though. This is part of our custom to show to our neighbors that we are hospitable because we think it's the right thing to do, not just something we do to keep them from attacking us."
Several Amazons start marching down the center of the village with dozens of plates of food. It all looks so delicious after going with out food all day. Then everyone starts running away. They all seem to be running towards someone on the other side of town. It's Muzzle! He found me!
I see dozens of women pouring out of their huts like bees from a nest. They look so strong, proud, and beautiful. That is until Muzzle gives them a strong blow to the face and that all changes. Muzzle isn't having much trouble with the villagers but the midget woman looks like she's preparing to cast a big spell.
"Muzzle look out!" I yell, but not in time. The midget woman casts a powerful fire spell and as it goes towards Muzzle I fear for his life. I can't watch my friend go like this, so I close my eyes. When I open them again, Muzzle is fine but I can't say the same for the midget woman...
Muzzle unties me and we start getting out of there. I know I was a prisoner in their village but it was a damn fine prison. As we are running, I feel incredibly depressed.
"Muzzle, have you ever heard of evaluating a situation?"
"Why would I do that?"
"Oh, no reason." My stomach growls like a tiger.
