choa ,or , chowa , or choa kariala , is a village in district
gujrat in pakistan,is surrounded by beautiful mountains,choa means
digging sand for water, nearly three century a go my great great grand
father(mohammed aziz) and his brother called (mohammed faze) come to
live in this beautiful place,canal upper jhelum is west of village choa
and to east is jungle (pubbi) 2 mile to north is Gt road, also choa
kariala railway station !
I went to pakistan from uk found that people of choa and
surrounding area needed road to travel to sara i alamgir city also link
to Gt road ! problem was that not every land owner wanted to give his
land to build road!
Who was God sent Angel ?
It was no other than major in pakistan army(sakhi mohammed mahroom) he
said
while in army one day looking at very old maps he saw on a map
nearly 5 century old lost road the name of (dinga road) run through
village choa, it was built by mughal empire long time a ago ! this road
the dinga road no body new that it existed , even my great great grand
fathers not new dinga road existed ?
actually it was a missing part of other dinga road which joins Gt. road
kharian city ! it runs parallel to jungle the name of ( pubbi ) which
is 7 mile wide 27 miles long ,looking at the map of lost dinga road ,
every body were amazed that people 5 century a go were so advance
building roads , example lost dinga road is 21 ft wide ! chowk is 47
ft wide ! this lost dinga road has so many link road and chowk to it
its unbelievable ,

Above people were involved in initial planning stage ,and
construction of lost dinga road sorry if I've miss
out any names ! far as i could remember we used to sit for hours
talking about this lost dinga road ! what we going to do also how we
going to map out lost dinga road ! one thing was going for us was that
lost dinga road was a government road not a private road , instead
pakistan government spending money to construct lost dinga road ,
actually people of village choa had to pay for construction of lost
dinga road , good what happened at initial stages was that we did not
pay bribe to ( patwari ) and to ( Tehsil dar ) but they did tried to
drag a feet a bit ! we obtained a direct order from kharian AC ,

Major Sakhi Mohammed was a self made man ,after retiring from pakistan
army , went to uk , later called his family over to uk , then returned
to pakistan to settle down , and started building new bungalow on canal
upper Jhelum in Bijli ghar near Rajar Rest House,(Rest House) is the
place where Late Zulfkar Ali butto stayed , also near (
Tehsil Sara i Alamgir ) and when ( kothi) bungalow was nearly ready
, I remember sitting on chairs in dark , in new built ( kothi )
with out electricity ! we use to site for hours till late at night

been built ( naya jaal laiy

much about it ! most pakistani people know what goes on in pakistani
thannas , apart from any government that has come to power in pakistan
