Merry meet, and welcome to my Fireside.  I am Raithaa, 1st Degree Alexandrian Priestess and Witch.

In 2005, I began this page as a Dedicant training towards First Degree. Just as famous Witch and author Stewart Farrar did during his period of study in Alex Sanders' coven (as retold in his book,
What Witches Do, 1971), I created this website to chronicle my own journey towards Initiation.

Today, as a First Degree training towards Second Degree, I am beginning to think about how I will train my own students when the time comes. Here I will share my perspective on Wiccan spirituality, based upon my current studies within a Traditional Alexandrian coven, and the nine years of solitary study and practice that I undertook before becoming involved with
British Traditional Wicca (henceforth abbreviated BTW), of which the Alexandrian Tradition is considered a major branch. This is not intended to be a typical "Wicca 101" website -- there are plenty of those, some much better than others -- but rather, this will be a place for thoughtful reflection on Wicca through the lens of a Solitary-Eclectic-turned British Traditionalist.

With that said, please bear in mind that these are the words of a student herself, and that, as even as my former High Priestess says of herself, "I am no guru on the hill;" one of the first things that I have learned is that a smart Witch never takes a single person's word for "gospel," no matter how respected he or she may be, no matter how many bestselling books he or she may have written (ahem).  Nonetheless, I do hope that you enjoy your stay here, and perhaps my scrawlings will offer some insight into the basics of BTW practice, and maybe give you some things to think upon.

A word on oaths (of secrecy):  When I made my oath to the gods during my First Degree Initiation, I took that oarh very seriously. As such, I will NOT reveal oathbound material to anyone not bearing the traditional markers of a fellow Initiate of the Tradition which I hold so near and dear to my heart.
RAITHAA'S THOUGHTS
The Thirteen Goals of the Witch
Raithaa's reflection on Scott Cunningham's "Thirteen Goals," a selection from Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner.  While not Traditional (strictly speaking), Cunningham's "Goals" are relevant guidelines for all Wiccans.
As you can see, I have just barely begun construction of my new home on the Web, so please return soon to check on my progress.  In the meantime, please visit some of the fantastic sites I have linked below.  Blessed be!
