"We'll keep this fashion inside, for someone else to find..."
No, they're not communists. I heard about Soviet from the old Joy Electric message boards. Someone put a link to a UK-based web site that hosts mp3s for a bunch of different bands, and somehow Soviet was one of them. I downloaded the four songs they had there, and was once again drawn to a new electronics-based band. They quickly became one of my newer "all time favorites."
I would like to see them in concert sometime... along with pretty much every other band that I like, considering how long it has been that I've been to a concert (come to Florida!). If you live somewhere in New York, I envy you, because they tour around NY extensively.
This is one band whose demo mixes sound as cool as their "refined" album mixes. I especially love the demos of "Modern Love" and "Marbleyezed."
The remastered, reissued album We Are Eyes... is out now. I haven't posted my thoughts on it just yet. Soon...

Remastered release featuring rearranged track listing, two new tracks - "Solar Baby" and "Street Thunder," and two dropped tracks (!!?) - "l'Objectif" and "Modern Love." Also, some added guitars, and some added synths (not too noticable). Although... "China" now plays to the end without fading out.
