the EP is going to be available very soon. Asterisk* is currently at work on a debut album. he's writing a new song now, the first for the album. i've heard the EP, it's very good, and now he's saying the album is going to be better - can't wait to see what's next. Asterisk* has a few MP3s up at the web site. a demo of the song "A New History" is also featured on the Plastiq Musiq Unheard Artists Compilation 3.

I made a remix for Asterisk* called "A New History - RainySynthony mix." using the original MIDI file of the song that i had reviewed, i used different instruments on my computer and then recorded it. basically it sounds a bit like a small symphony is performing the song... you'll have to get the EP to find out what it's like.

The opening melody has been stuck in my head as much as some of my favorite songs by other bands. At the begining, the song progresses from a few instruments to several instruments. Even hearing it in "general MIDI" (the basic sounds built into a computer's sound card which a MIDI file uses to let you hear the song), it sounds great! I hooked up one of my keyboards using MIDI just to test the song with some slightly better sounds, and it just rocks. I look forward to the day when we get to hear all of Kelson's hard work materialized into an album!
