MT.PINATUBO
the home of apo mallari located at capas tarlac once towers at 1750 m a s l. when it erupted in 1991 150 meters blown off its peak decreasing the height to 1600 masl. the eruption leave a huge crater on its top. and change its landscape forever from thickly vegetated slope to arid desert plain covered with millions tons of ash and debris.for several years there are few who dare to scale and explore its domain due to dangers and changing landscape,nature cures mt.pinatubo however. vegetation now begins to grow providing new habitat for wildlife that once roam the area ,the "lahar" that rush through its slope bury several towns around it and erasing two in the map for good has its own part in curing the mountain it curves deep gorges and ravines allowing new rivers and streams to flow pushing the thick ash to form dunes making a rugged desert canyon landscape. ideal for many kinds of extreme adventure activities from desert hiking to off-road driving to kayaking the calm water of its crater..the east crater rim provide a magnificent campsite and a vantage point over looking the blue water of Caldera Lake. climbing Mount pinatubo will remind you how powerful and destructive the force of nature.

SUGGESTED ITINERARY:
DAY 1:
5:30AM - ASSEMBLE AT VICTORY STATION CUBA0(BOUND FOR TARLAC)
8:00AM - ETA TARLAC MARKET(Arrange trip to capas)
8:45AM - ETA Capas. (Arrange trip to brgy sta.juliana) snack.
9:00AM - ETD For sta.juliana
9:15AM - ETA Sta.Julina, Register at BRGY. hall get a guide. (500 to 1,000 Php.)

NOTE:fill your water bottles here this is the last water source along the trail (the water source near the campsite is not suitable for drinking coz it contains too much sulfur)wear wide brim hat and long sleeves shirt.put sunblock for sun protection,wear sandals)

9:30AM - PACKS ON BACK START TREK to Bangantungul.
1:30PM - ETA Bangantungul (small aeta makeshift village) rest, late lunch.
2:00PM - ETD Bangantugul. start trek to campsite
5:00PM - ETA Campsite. rest explore the area picture taking fix tent. prepare dinner
6:00PM 7:30PM - DINNER,Social
8:00PM lights-out.

DAY 2:
5:30AM - Wake up call.
6:00AM - Breakfast, explore the crater. take a dip in the crater warm water, picture taking.
7:00AM - Break camp
7:30AM - PACKS ON BACK Start descent.
10:30AM - ETA Bangantungul. rest early lunch
11:00AM - ETD Bangantungul
2:30PM - ETA Brgy. sta.juliana. get your certificate of conquest at the DOT office..(buy pala)
3:00PM - ETD for tarlac market(ask the driver to bring you directly to tarlac market.)
4:00PM - ETA Tarlac market
4:15PM - ETD Tarlac for Manila
6:45PM - ETA Cubao.(Home sweet home!!! :))

DRAWBACKS
Bring enough money for this trip. the guide (COMPULSARY even to as mountaineers!!) and additional green fee is too expensive. plan your trip on summer days sunday is the best day to avoid local & foreign tourist crowd the place during weekends.

GETTING THERE
From Cubao. take bus plying to baguio or Tarlac alight at tarlac market. take a jeep goin to brgy sta.juliana then get a guide there there or you can contact "DREAMTREKS" they offer a guided tour in mount pinatubo.(they can provide 4X4 Vehicles for more exciting trip).
