You're in all our hearts,
Nothing has changed,
The heavens have opened
the clouds rearranged...

Your wild and free spirit
Refreshes us all,
And no heart was bigger
When a friend took a fall...

Sadly missed and greatly loved,
One in a million you are,
And
thankyou for Kelly, our "little Pat",
The most beautiful gift by far...

Ride free bro and yes we all know
We all have so much to give,
And yes we will remember,
Let's all Ride to Live.

Ride free my love...

always and forever,

Raye xoxox...
Today is June 23, 2002.

I can hardly believe it's been seventeen years... Kelly was six months old
when Pat, her father, passed away...

Pat's heart had stopped, after two days spent on life-support, in a coma.
His head had been split open; the result of {what we all know as} "road rage"...
The pipe-wielding offender was charged with first-degree murder. The trial, nine months later, was five days long, and the accused walked a free man;
physically free, anyway...~?~...

And so, Kelly's graduation then, as you might correctly imagine,
was particularly bittersweet....

I gave her my engagement ring that day, tucked inside a card that said, "Congratulations from your Mom AND Dad". No we didn't cry at all.

yes we did....

Pat was amazing. Beautiful. And the love of my life. Or the only one who'd put up with me! *lol*  Electrician, outdoorsman, FULL of life, animated, a real rebel-rouser, ~!!!~, and let's not forget his favourite toy; his Harley.

*big smile*

Here's to you, Pat.

I love you so..............                 *raises glass*
