"May the air carry and guide your spirit,
May the hearth fire warm your soul,
May the flowing waters cleanse you,
May the earth mother hold you and bring you to rebirth"

NORWICH- Jeffrey L. Miller, formerly of Norwich and North Norwich,
died Aug. 10, 2002 in Portland, Ore. where he had made his home for the past several years.  Jeff sustained severe injuries in a bicycle accident.
Jeff was born in Norwich on Feb. 25, 1969.  He was an accomplished musician who played with a number of bands over the years.  Jeff knew his niche in life was artistic in nature and he offered his gifts and talents to those around him.  He worked in a home for developmentally handicapped adults and volunteered to teach guitar lessions at a shelter for homeless teens.  Through music, his sense of humor, and his compassion for others, Jeff connected with people in all walks of life and he invariably touched their hearts.  A close family friend captured the essence of Jeff's life with these words:
    "
The love of Jeff's life was music...but the music of Jeff's life was love."
He leaves behind a large circle of devoted friends and family who mourn his passing.  Jeff is survived by his partner, Stephanie Sandberg and their son, Quinn Miller, 13 months old, of Portland.  The birth of his son brought deep happiness to Jeff's life and he joyfully took on the role of parent.  He was very much a "hands-on" dad and Quinn's first year of life has been filled with love and music.  Jeff's is also survived by his father, Frank Miller, of Tampa, Fla.; his mother and step-father, Pat (Robertson) and Chuck Bonasera of Dublin, Calif.; his sisters and brothers, Linda Ross and husband Rob of Reston, Va., Beth Kilburn of Pleasanton, Calif., Jana Indalecio and husband Chris of Castro Valley, Calif. and Scott-David Allen of Racine,Wisc.; as well as several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  Jeff is predeceaced by his grandparents, Vernon and Dorothy Roberton and Floyd Miller and Rose Benedict.  Memorial services held in Portland, Ore. and Dublin Calif. were attended by friends and family from Oregon, California, Colorado and New York.  An east coast gathering of friends and family to celebrate Jeff's life is planned for late September in Ithaca, NY, where Jeff spent many years.
