Jesus was not born in December (the song goes while shepards watch their flocks by night....by December sheep are corralled cause the weather is too cold for them to be out.)
Most of "traditional" festivities, and customs come from pagan religious services offered to other gods.
11) the charities drives that don't give a damn about "the children having warm clothing, toys, and food" the rest of the year come out in droves to beg for money for 30 days
10) the salvation army bell ringing constantly where ever you go.
9) the lines extending so far into the store that it takes you an hour just to get to what you want to buy , and another hour to get it bought.
8) being trapped in a parking lot and almost run over by some idiot who can't see over the boxes of junk they just spent the last few hours (see above) buying .
7) having to spend more than usual on staples like toliet paper cause it is just easier to go to a convience store to buy it than the local wal-mart.
6)kids screaming, crying, begging for whatever they think they can bug their parents into buying for them.
5) number 10,9,6 and 8 all happening on the same day when I'm already late to work
4)the same elevator christmas music being played over and over while I'm on hold on the phone because the business I called hasn't got enough service reps since they are all on holiday.
3) seasonal specials of whatever commercial pop band/singer is popular pre-empting my favorite show so they can mangle silent night for the holiday.
2) family bugging me to "get with it" and agree to buy their children stuff so they don't hae to spend their money on it.
and the number one reason I hate Christmas
Because from the day after Thanksgiving to Dec 26th I have to put up with all the above without going postal and decimating the local population with an assalt rifle.
