South of Market

South of Market,
After midnight,
When white boys drive by fast
And 10 year old ghetto kids bum smokes.
White man afraid of denying him...
Who knows what he's clutching underneath
That too expensive looking jacket.

It's a crazy world, and defensless
We make our way through it.
Alone in a dangerous place,
In a dangerous city.
Looking around the desolation,
Heavy bars on scant windows...
