24th
A day a year
It's all the same
Regulated intake
Caffenaited
Expository
Birthday.
A sigh a gasp
Nothing's new.
But a yearning for the pews
Blows like the wind
Through my kevlar.
A thought a flinch
Not so often
Drowned in drink.
Past the fifth
Of light;
Early Brunch.
A hope a fear
Transplanted from
A sea to sea
Sunset to rise
Above myself
Into myself.
A pen a word
It's been so long
Takes a crowd
To feel alone
And lost
Before the Muses.
A page a code
My Earthly Shell
Hides my life
As it exposes
"Every" step and "every"
Loving thoughtful deed.
A roar a smoke
Out of a tin
funny curved
AND shining
Like I once dreamed
My life would be.
