It's either tinnitis or my computer is ringing...
2334

I'm thinking I'll stick with this as a format for a while...no-one's bothered to chime in about the changes so yer all stuck with what suits my fancy, tickles my nasuea ("oh no, i let it happen again"), or floats my boat...

Resampling progress is at 69% now for a very special christmas gift for a very special woman.  I got this show from 1994, recorded in Sacramento, on DAT, and I got this CDrom burner, top of the line supposedly--the *replacement* works like a charm--plugged it in, installed the drivers, and away I'm going...(I got it friday--WAY WAY WAY earlier than I ever imagined) have already copied a copy CD's for said friend...

SO I'm excited to be doing this...I SO wish I could be there to see the look on her face when Christa opens the box, pulls out the CD's, listens to them, imagiens herself five years ago, all the world set aright once more, everything as it was meant to be...

but I can't be...just something I hafta deal with.  I can take plenty of pleasure in my imagination however.

It's been a lazy day...Dan came over last night and we were supposed to stay up and drink...but I just wasn't into it.  I finally kicked him out about 2300 and collapsed into bed...woke at 1000 and began learning through trial and error how exactly to work this whole DAT to CD deal...

I also stripped the wax off my dress boots and began rebuilding the shine on them--something I've been *sorely* needing to do these past few weeks.  On the morrow I musts proquire more cotton balls and finish the job.  I also must do laundry and work on my correspondance work.

Showed the new 71D around a bit more yesterday...I was detaield to be the driver for the NBC training yesterday--buncha cooks...but nowone was there at the trainign site so we had to turn around and drive back...getting caught up in the pedestrain traffic; the 1999 Fort Bragg Jingle Bell 12 miler...

I drove that FMTV around for about 45 minutes to an hour...

SSG Wade is recommending me for an Army Achievement Medal for my work with HHD...i've impressed him that much.
Now, I got one for being a distinguished Honor Grad in AIT...that was worthy I guess...here at Fort Bragg they're handed out like candy almost.  Well, it's promotion points and an oak leaf cluster on my uniform.  SSG Wade is always talking about all the things I need to have done before BNOC  (Basic Noncomissioend Officer Course--for E-6 and)  as if I actually plan on being in the army that long...But it's his job to try to retain me in the service, and see me as far along as he can, so i don't begrduge him any of his speeches.  It's a bad idea to let anyone know you plan on getting out after your initial tour--they're less inclined to get things doen for you--classes, preferred assignments, awards, etc...why spend the money if you won't be around long enough to really use it?

I got detailed as the Combat LIfe Saver for the annual 20K ruck march qualification next Friday...goody for me...I get to be at work at 0420 and maybe have to stick an IV in someone...great.

Well the resampling is done so i need to close this out and muck aorund with splitting discs and fadiugn in and out and all that stuff...

g'night!
