Hand grenades -- lots of practice & 6 stages of qualification -- 20 mtr alt. prone, 35 mtr trench, 25 mtr mortar hole, foxhole, bunker...sheet & 1 more I already forgot, cuz I know there was six...passed all 1st time go = Expert baby...makes up for crap BRM, even if grenades izzy so much simpler.  We threw "semi live" grenades -- real fuses, no composition B, holes in the bottom for "exhaust".  Lunch, MRE like breakfast, and 2 real live grenades on the range.  Wasn't so much of a thrill as I worked myself up to, actually -- so much like the practice ones yet louder -- saw no explosion since we had to take cover immediately...

Someone stole $130 from another private (PVT Diamond) & we were threatened hard-core w/ a full locker skakedown, BC, SDS, etc. & serious front back go...but it turned up.

I swear, these past 8 weeks (as of next Monday Exactly) or so have caused me to lose some of my common sense.  Must be all the do only what you are told when you are told crap...Found an unarmed fuse today on pickup detail...w/o thinking, I pulled the pin, thus arming it, and put it w/ the used fuses -- completely forgetting what the long part of the fuse does to the blasting cap -- only once it was done did I realize...panicked as I saw it fall into the bag I had...turned quickly and heard it explode...so did the two PVTs aiding my detail...I admitted my serious fuckup & received their admonishing...

Got my clothes in the dryer a bit ago, now it's sleep for 4 hours...
