Nyquil -- a lot, maybe 1/2 beer worth of alcohol -- slight tingle for a few seconds b4 bed last night.

Sitting on my bunk about 3 1/4 hours free time now.  Fixed up my wall locker, laundry tonight on FG duty.

"High & Tight" is my new hairstyle -- short on top, shaved sides.  Kinda like it.

Talked w/ Mom, Dad, Justine last night.  Dad's 50th party last night -- didn't even realize it was going on when I called --all is well on the homefront.  So good to hear their voices again -- they all miss me they say.  I do miss them.  Katrina recognizes my picture -- so a fear of mine, that she would not knwo me when I come back, is alleviated.  Talked w/ Carpenter some last night -- his regrets on enlisting to pay his $60,000 college debt -- his talk more to reassure himself it seemed -- I had little to offer the conversation, really...Cookies were so good & everyone else agreed.  Thanks so much Mom!

Turned into a rather uneventfull day -- passed the other 2 parts of my Phase I test.  Boot shining, locker straightening.  Phase I is over, no lining up just outside the mess hall after chow now -- a little responsibility given to form up a couple blacks away in our battery parking lot.

Personal time isn't for another 1/2 technically -- wondering if I can shower now or not...
