10.26.98 -- BCT -- The Real Beginning

No sweat -- Everyone makes it out to be harder than it really is. After so many moves in 95th, this was just one more. 2300 -- still awake. Paperwork fomr 1435 to 2200 broken by Dinner (which was the worst I've had so far here in OK). No more bunk beds -- wall locker. 62 ppl in Delta Battery 2nd Platoon 1/79 FA (Field Artillery) DS Wynder...new faces

Cattle Car ride wasn't so bad -- I was able to angle myself & my bags to rest comfortably. "First task" was to correctly allign our bags on the Drilling Pad...took us 3 attempts, 2min, 1 1/2 min, 1 min... 7 Up/Down pushups each time -- easy for me now...couldn't believe how easy it was AAMOF...Smoked again in the Barraks -- that had me in pain...Wore that rosary/cross out of respect. maybe that helped cuz I haven't been overwhelmed 'tall...Day 1/2 tho, so mayhaps tomorrow will be bad...

KP call right now...maybe I'll be lucky & miss out this 1st time...Hip hooray Fire Guard call now...lucked out on that one too. *Wahoo!* (CQ Duty)

Lights on at 0430 -- sleeping in a bit It appears nowadays...Long day, goodnight.
