She was the compelling lead in the movie "Girl Fight," and a raging racer in "The Fast and the Furious," but last year, her roadwork landed Michelle Rodriguez in serious legal trouble after the actress did some lead foot driving in Hollywood. In one hit-and-run situation, Rodriguez rear-ended another car and there were people in need of an ambulance. Cops say Rodriguez took off.
Then, a few months later and one block away from the original incident, cops say the star was caught speeding, and was then hit with eight misdemeanors, including a DUI.
Now, after some hot-tempered haggling with defense lawyers and prosecutors, Rodriguez has agreed to plead guilty to three of the eight charges in exchange for spending 48 hours in jail and doing community service in the morgue of two local hospitals. The star was also ordered to do a three-month alcohol program and to get involved in the Mothers Against Drunk Driving program.
But Rodriguez did manage to convince the judge to keep her out of the limelight -- she did not have to appear in court in person. |
