Michelle Rodriguez, the stunner from "S.W.A.T.," is not "maid" to order. The 25-year-old tough girl is hoping her kick-butt reputation will boot out some Hollywood stereotypes.
"I just got a script about a Latina maid the other day," she told us. "I was, like, 'You must be on drugs, right?'
"There are a lot of maids in the United States, and I don't appreciate that they keep exploiting a specific kind. I mean, where is the movie with the blue-eyed, blond-haired maid? There are tons of them out there - why don't I see any of them exploited?"
Rodriguez, who made her debut playing a Brooklyn boxer in 2000's "Girlfight" and is known for her sexy snarl, also refuses to give it up unnecessarily to older men onscreen.
"I will think, well, [my co-star] is this established, good actor. But damn, he's like 45," she ranted. "Why do I have to have sex with this guy in the film? Like, no!"
She'll make do with the likes of young hunks like Vin Diesel, with whom she starred in "The Fast and the Furious" and then dated off-screen.
Her distaste for certain parts is linked to her general ire at women's role in Hollywood.
"There are a lot of real crude a--s," says the bruiser from Jersey City. "If you make yourself a little too accessible with all of your smiling and hunky-dory attitude, then you are leaving yourself open to be hit on by every [bleeping] solo producer out there.
"I'm kind of glad that they stay away, because they consider me intimidating, gay or whatever, because it weeds out all of the [bleeps]."
You have been warned. |
