Here I am again with my journal and words, words, and more words. I meant to update, I really did but then school started getting busier and hence I could not. I haven't been having much fun lately and work is the usual nuisance. Though seemingly my coworkers are having fun teasing me again. I swear I don't like the guy but they persist because they think the constant teasing will lead me to like the guy. Unbelievable! I can't wait until I quit this job even if it means not being able to speak with all the nice acquaintances. Sad but true. People must move on especially when they hate and despise their job with a passion.

The most fun I've had lately was seeing Mamma-Mia again. The cast actually had so much energy and I was laughing over the parts I usually smile knowingly at. Camilla Scott didn't actually bother me this time though I still don't like Peter Deiwick. I was sorely hoping for an understudy as I heard Paul Nolan is supposed to be amazing but alas. As usual Raymond Miller was fun and cute as Pepper. With the energy boost that everybody seemed to have he was that much more enjoyable. Does Your Mother Know was hilarious and double that for Take A Chance On Me. Definitely more ad libs in the show that really are good. The most memorable ones were more snappy comments by Rosie and Tanya and definitely how David Keeley scoops Camilla Scott up in his arms near the end like a bride over the threshhold. He spun her around and it was all sugary sweet. Ray Miller, Ryan Kelly, and Paul Nolan all had so much more oomph with the dancing during Does Your Mother Know. Raymond was really going at it with the split jumps and they all seemed so flexible, like they were contorting their bodies. It seemed that way with all the dancing, extra energy made them look so flexible, seemingly contorting. This second cast has really come into their own though I'll stay always prefer Adam Brazier as Sky unless I get to see Paul Nolan and then I'll make a decision. That of which reminds me that on April 3, the first North American cast of Mamma-Mia with Louise Pitre, Adam Brazier, etc. will perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The U.S. tour as obviously, is in L.A. right now and of course, promotion. After all, the show will be on Broadway in October (the 18th to be precise.) I can't wait! I wonder what song they'll perform. I long to see Adam Brazier again.

Okay, other rants before I go Adam Brazier gaga again. I recently found out that Regan Thiel, former LM Cosette will be at Stratford this year in Inherit the Wind, The Sound of Music, and The Merchant of Venice. That thrills me because I have a good chance of seeing The Sound of Music. It adds to my happiness that Graham Abbey is a major part of the making of a king series that includes all three Henry plays by Shakespeare. Now I can't wait for summer so I can go to Stratford. Eeee! This adds to my happiness at having The Full Monty premiere here in June. I must see it. Excitement even though I'm pretty bummed about not being able to go to Kitchener to see Les Miserables. Grr! I want to see the tour cast but I can't and that makes me grumpy. I'm so bipolar aren't I? :)

Hmm, non-theatre related stuff. Jamie Sale and David Pelletier won their first world championship. Major cause to celebrate. After an eight year drought, Canada triumphs again in pairs. Woohoo! You should have seen them, though Jamie singled her double axel the judges marked fairly and gave them the gold. I have to agree with some critics that Bereznaia and Sikharulidze's Charlie Chaplin program was not inspiring. I never really got the feeling that they were comfortable with the music. I never felt that they found the essence and were able to express it. They are a more classical style pair and it really showed during the Grand Prix when for the second long program, they skated to Sentimental Waltz by Tchaikovsky. They had magic there whereas with the Charlie Chaplin music, they didn't mesh with the music. In contrast, Sale and Pelletier captured a good aura and feel for the music of Tristan und Isolde by Wagner. Jamie is very expressive and the Tristan und Isolde program was a very good followup to last year's Love Story program. Two thumbs up and cheers for Canada.

Lastly as it's almost 5 am and guess what I must go to work again tomorrow. Then come home and study for some tests. Plus I'll be watching the Oscars, even though some winners are going to be so easy to predict. I'm pretty sure that best actress will go to Julia Roberts and best supporting actor will go to Benicio Del Toro. I can just sense it. Who knows, maybe there will be a surprise, maybe not. Anyways, my last few sous for the night. A new obsession, Wang Lee Hom. He's this singer from Taiwan, who was originally from the States. He emanates a nice aura that's so different from some of those other singers. First of all he actually has a music background. He plays several instruments, primarily violin I think. I once saw him on this Taiwanese show around Chinese New Year. He was playing his own quasi-classical version of a chinese new year song on his violin and that was amazing. I wish I was that proficient on piano. But anyway, I haven't really heard his songs yet except this one english one that wasn't good quality. Of what I could hear, his voice is nice. Not special but heck, one song, I can't really base it on much. I also tend to like voices that move me right away but then again, there have been other times. I'm reading this online journal thing he had that my friend saved onto a disk for me. It's cool that he did something like that. What artist or actor actually does that much, actually reaches out to the fans and interacts almost directly. It's weird that I judged first based on a teensy bit but when I first saw him on this other chinese show called Super Trio, he caught my eye. I liked the way he carried himself, though first I did think, hey he's cute. But it was only after discussion with my friend did I think differently. Also when I searched up on him on the Internet, I changed my way of looking at him. He's one of those music prodigy guys I'm sure, he went to the Berklee School of Music, etc. His thesis was a musical. Sure I'm lightyears away from doing anything close to that but heck. So now, I'm dying to actually hear his music. I don't really like to do the MP3 thing, downloading to me is a real hassle at times. I'd rather buy a CD and listen to it right away. Let's hope I can make my way over to a chinese mall in the near future.

Grr! Dreading heinous job!
