She moves with the splendour of the night
Taking with her the magic of the stars
Ethereal and breathtaking in the light
I feel like I'm on Mars.
She cried one time
And when she wiped the tears from her face
They clung to her hand like grime
But she still exuded this grace.
Then she smiled
Illuminating everything with a glow.
Her golden laugh mirrored that of a child
Learning for the first time to tie a bow.
I looked curiously from afar
And held my breath deep inside.
Like peeking through a door set ajar
Every feeling rushed through me like the tide.
Her gravity, her grace bewilders me
What I see I cannot trace
Her surface doesn't allow me to see
All that is concealed beneath her innocent face.
