Moon Phases

For thousands of years, humans have turned to the moon at night. Sometimes this was negative and other times postive, the moon has been our nightime guide. This moon turnes the tides and affects our emotions. Women's menstral cycles follow a 28 day turn, like the moon. The Moon comforts us by lighting the dark paths when the sun dies down. How could such a piece of rock be such a part of our lives?

Most Wiccans see the moon as a symbol of the Goddess. Looking at the moon is looking at Her. By "Drawing Down the Moon" we pull the power of the Goodess into us. Witches use the wanning and waxing of the moon to help manifest desires and needs. Some of these are Essbats and are an essential part of Wiccan life. One Witch I know only does Solar rituals.
