Together Apart
"C'mon on, get packed, slayer, we're leaving!"
**Duh???**
Alright, she doesn't actually say it, but though she doesn't actually have to. It's written all across her face. Nevermind, since I made up my mind, I do not really feel like explaining myself to her.
Anyway, it's not like I started it.
I'm not the one shutting her out.
Stupid bitch!
Okay, I know she's upset, but so am I.
Couldn't she at least talk?
Drusilla talked!
I watch her.
She doesn't even look at me.
She's so small. So very young and breakable.
I walk up behind her, pulling her close. Her back to my chest.
I'm craving physical contact, and I think it's the same to her.
She's so fragile.
My arms sneak around her waist.
I love the feel of her hard abdomen under my hands.
She stiffens.
Yeah, right, spoil it, keep pulling away.
I know I shouldn't be angry with her.
It shouldn't be me holding her in the first place.
Yeah, good one, peaches!
My grip tightens.
C'mon, slayer, give us a rest.
She relaxes against me, slightly.
One minute, just one bloody minute.
I love touching her body.
Well, she doesn't, maybe it reminds her of Angelus and his unborn child inside of her, however, I couldn't care less, could I.
I know I shouldn't be enjoying this so much.
But hey, demon or not I never had a pregnant woman before and this is just so exiting. I loosen my hold on her so she can pull back.
She instantly does.
I grind my teeth.
"Spike?" It's barely a whisper.
Oh well, I just can't help it, "Luv?"
I can feel her little white hand pulling me closer.
Her tiny form snuggling back into my chest.
We stay like this for what seems like forever.
"I've got you, luv." I whisper. "I'll make it alright."
And much to my surprise I mean it.
