Chapter 2.1

Ding-dong.

The door flew open in an instant.

"Buffy?" Angel whispered in the softest of voice.

"Angel - I'm so glad you're..." She didn't even bother to finish.

A huge smile on her face, Buffy launched herself at her brown vampire visitor.

Oh, look. This is so sweet.

Unable to look away, Willow's cheeks were about to match the color of her hair, when what had started as an innocent embrace turned into something more passionate -erotic.

Ohmigod! This is Buffy. And Angel. Kissing. They are not allowed to kiss. Not like that. This is Angel. He isn't supposed to be happy. Not like in he doesn't deserve to be happy. He just isn't... Oh aren't they a cute couple? Nononono, bad...

Willow didn't have a chance to voice any of her concerns, when Xander shoved right past the engrossed couple.

"Lucy, I'm home!" He blurted bluntly, all his usual sensitive self.

"Xander???"

Buffy jumped in shock, and Willow couldn't but feel sorry for her. Well, on one hand. On the other... at least he had made her let go of Angel.

Having a fairly good idea of what to come next, Willow tried to make herself as small as possible. Now, being ripped apart from Angel, with the ignorance to the world wearing off, Buffy would be sooo pissed!!!

"Eh, yes, eh, well, eh, good morning..."

A wry smile on her face she watch her friend whirl around.

"Giles?" Buffy asked in the most tentative voice.

Judging from the look of her face she still seemed to be debating whether or not to trust her eyes. Giles, in the meantime, following Xander's example made his way inside the house.

Oh well, this time's just as good as any time, Willow decided.

"Hi, Buffy," she greeted with a little wave of her hand. "May I come in, too?"

Without waiting for her friend to adjust the red-head pushed past Sunnydale's cutest couple, leaving the petite slayer to stare at her, perplex.

"Willow?" The slayer's eyes took on a slightly puzzled expression.

That's when Angel softly nudged her inside.

His arm, however, never loosening its tight lock around her waist.

Willow watched her friend taking a deep breath, readying herself for the inevitable.

Accusing look upon her face, the blond let her eyes hover between her friends.

However, the slayer got cut off by a really angry voice, before she had the tiniest of chance to bitch at them.

"B-u-f-f-y-!-!-!"

Willow observed Xander try to hide behind Giles. Never ever before had any of them witnessed her friend's mother yelling at Buffy the way she was now.

And all because of him? Spike? A vampire? Her darling daughter's mortal enemy?

Nobody dared to speak. Even Giles, being an adult himself kinda fell into some rather uncharacteristic stillness.

"Eh, well, hi, Mom..."

Finally, following Willow's example Buffy gave a little wave of her hand. A wave which only seemed to infuriate her mother furthermore.

They remained in an awkward silence, except for Mrs. Summers' piercing gaze quite literally drilling hole into their skulls.

Finally, the door bell.

Saved be the bell Xander gave up on his hiding space to see who was next.

"Good, there ya're Xander," Although her dark-haired friend blocking the view, Willow easily identified the voice as Faith's. "This better be important, 'cuz else... eh... Buffy? Mrs. S? G-man? Red? Angel?..." The brunette slayer hesitated - something that wasn't seen on her very often.

She did a quick scan realizing Xander must have called the whole Scooby Gang.

"What the heck...???"

A naughty little smile on her face, Willow the girl's jaw drop open.

"Hi, Faith," her fellow slayer couldn't but smile because of the bewildered look on the other girl's face. However, the smile quickly faded, when she turned towards Xander.

"Anybody missing?" She sneered coolly. "Hey, what about Cordelia?"

"Or Oz?" As soon as the words were out, Willow already clamped her hand over her mouth.

"Willow!!!" Her best friend stared at her in disbelief.

"Sorry...I..."

"Eh, Buffy!" The redhead breath a sigh of relief when she was cut off by Joyce. "You better start explaining," The elder woman gestured towards the little crowd gathering in her hallway. "This!!!"

She shouldn't get a chance to come to the explaining part.

Chapter 2.3

Oh yeah, this gonna be way cool.

Five boxes of doughnuts within reach, Faith quietly made herself comfortable.

"Oh yeah, here comes the sire."

She chuckled, when she heard blondie snapping at ol' soulful.

"Spike!"

Yeah, tell 'm B - hav'ya wicked way with 'im!

She smirked, stuffing her face with two more doughnuts. Simultaneously.

"What - sweetie little Buffy being all afraid some big badass vampire might gonna munch on darling old mom...???"

Her booted feet were popped up on the sofa.

Oh wowie, big bad's cravin' for B to jump 'is bones.

"Watch it, fang!" A packet of marshmallows came flying across the room.

Hmmm, yummy, sweetie littl' marshies...

She reached out for the blond to hand her the bag. Cheeky smile on her face.

"Ouch, that hurt." Spike retorted furiously, passing on the obnoxious object.

Yip, goodie dearie.

Several hands of marshmallows along with half a jelly doughnut disappeared.

"Shut up, Spike."

Nice language, mopey-vamp.

"Yes, sire. Right sire. How else may I please you, sire?"

Wow, who's gonna need pay TV! Will'ya kick asses already.

"Dead boy, you sired a moron!"

Oh yeah, boy-wonder spoil it.

With a thud the empty doughnut box landed on the floor.

However, nobody seemed to notice.

"Look who's talking, twerp!!!"

Yip, go for it, blondie, can't ya see's all game.

Piling cream buns on her stomach, Faith disposed carton number two.

"Spike!"

Oh, oh, here comes trouble.

The stern voice of Mrs. Summers forced a grin on brunette slayer's face.

A grin that even widened when she heard the miffed reply of a certain vampire.

"Sorry mom, didn't mean to..."

"Don't ya call her that, you bleached..."

Faith tried hard for a straight face - even harder for the doughnut to stay inside.

B just could be sooo way weird.

"Buffy!!!"

Good one, B, got'er mad.

"Yeah, sorry mom."

Nice try, B, see through much, but nice.

Anyway, what the prag-queen do to the choccie ones?

Her eyes looked and found the missing carton.

And since nobody cared to object - another one bit the dust.

"E-eh, we may rather c-concentrate on..."

Yeah, watchit men, here comes tweedle-dum.

Cordelia shook her head in disbelief.

She just wondered whether to trust her eyes, witnessing as much as five boxes of doughnuts along with a family packet of marshmallows being stuffed into the face of a certain brunette slayer. The same slayer who by now had settled for a larger bowl of peanuts.

"Faith," she announced in her usual sensitive way. "You're a pig!"

"Whmpf?"
