Well it is official. I am a thief. Yup that is right, I steal from people. slap the cuffs on my, I am guilty as charged.

It was a dark night. I had just finished watching the movie "Unbreakable", totally lost during that movie. Then I left to go pick up my friend Pat from Saginaw, and take him to his house in Munger. (It was a good 25-30 mile drive.)
On my way to get Pat I realized that my gas gauge was reading just a little less than full, and I thought it was weird. I filled up my gas tank on Thursday, and this realization was on Sunday. Now usually I have to put gas in my other every couple of days. So I figured my gas gauge was off.

I picked up Pat, and he told me he had to get a pack of cigarettes and then give me the change from his $20. I needed to get cigarettes too, so I pulled into a gas station to get smokes and gas.

My boyfriend Steve was going to pump $10 into my tank, but it stop at $7.15, so he pumped it to $8.00. He had to go to the bathroom, so I took the $10 back from him, and payed for the gas, telling him to get the smokes with the $20.

Me being the dummy I am told the cashier I had $10 in gas, and then I realized i had $8. He corrected me, and I told him thanks for not charging me for $10, because I probably wouldn't have noticed. Then he handed me back $12, change for a 20, not a 10. I thought, well I must have given him the 20, and went back to my car.

Steve got the smokes, and came back to the car too. I asked him it he had the $10 instead of the $20, and he said no. I said well how much change did you get back, and he handed me some $13.

Then I realized I had given the cashier a 10 dollar bill. I freaked out. I said, he gave me an back an extra $10, I have to go give it back. Pat and Steve convinced me that it wasn't my fault. But I still wanted to return it.

But you can do the math. Let's see. Pat's $20, minus $3.50 equals $16.50 for me. I had $10, and put $8.00 into my gas tank. Leaving me $2.00. $2.00 plus $16.50 is $18.50. $18.50 minus $3.50 for my smokes equals $15.00. So I would have made $15.00.

However, that is not how it worked. This is what really happened.

Pat's $20, minus $3.50 equals $16.50 for me. I had $10, and put $8.00 into my gas tank. I shoudl have gotten $2.00 back, but I got $12.00 instead. So $12.00 plus $16.50 equals $28.50. $28.50 minus $3.50 for my smokes equals $24.00. So I actually made $24.00. I think thats right. I am terrible at math, so if I am wrong, screw you, because I am never wrong!! HAhhaa. No seriously if I made a mistake in my ranting please let me know, either via e-mail or sign my guestbook.

After that I spent $2.99 at Tim Horton's. I am the greatest and smartest person alive, except when it comes to ordering at Tim Horton's. More on that later. Back to My Rants
