Yup, carnies. Gotta love the carnies. Those people that cheat you out of your hard earned money. They are nothing but cheaters.
I figured the whole carnival thing out. It all came to me while walking around the fireworks fesitival in Bay City.
Ya know those really big stuffed animals? The lions, and bears and all that? Well, you see people walking around with them don't you?
Ever wonder if they are lucky? Or just plain rich? Well to tell you the truth they are neither of the above.
They are carnies! Ohh didn't see that one coming did you? I didn't think so. Sure some of them may have won the giant lion your girlfriend made you waste 20 bucks trying to get. But the others, no way.
They are in fact my friends, carnies. They dress up like "normal" people, and carry around the giant animals. To make you THINK that you can win one.
Very clever scheme, I'll say that much. But, its cheating! Nothing more than that.
I've fallen victim to it, many times. But alas, no stuffed lion for me. :-( Doesn't that just suck? Yes it does, and thanks for bringing up such a depressing memory for me too. I am gonna go curle up in a little ball in the corner now and cry. Jerk.
Ok I am back. Sorry for losing my composure there. I am ok now.
Ok like I was saying before I flipped out. Carnies, cheaters, liars. All the same. No matter where you live.
Be careful of carnies. They are dangerous. When your walking down the midway, and see that giant bear, just keep walking. Even if you see someone walking towards you with the same bear. It's probably a carnie.
Ask them what game they won it from. 9 times out of 10, they won't know. That tells you right there, they are payed to carry the animal around. But they didn't win it. They might get to keep it after the night is over, but thats it.
Sucks real bad doesn't it? Another thing about carnies. Ever notice "its real easy, anybody can do it." yah right. Anybody who spends their winters and off fesitval time practicing their carnival games for the fireworks fair or something can do it every time.
I am sure that it is real easy. I bet anybody can do it. Yup, ok. Don't fall for it for a split second. Once you do, you are trapped, and you will never get out. You'll quit when you are broke. Thats the only way you'll stop. Because you'll try, and fail. And the carnie will try and be succesful. And it will amaze you, and perplex you, and confuse you deeply.
So my friends, don't trust carnies. They are evil, and once you stop to speak with a carnie you will be evil too.
The end. Now have a good nights sleep, and try not to dream about the carnies.
