RAIN

It all started back in early October of 2001. After a few weeks of Red Faction's release, I rented the game for PS2. After tossing it in the corner, I forgot about it for a few days. But then I got bored and played it one more time.. and fell in love with it. The story line was amazing, graphics were killer, and the bots kicked ass. After playing Half Life for quite some time, I wanted an online experience with my new favorite game. I baught the game, and didn't have the graphics card. So I let Fu$iOn borrow it, and he loved the game too. We started up the RAIN Clan at this time. We worked on 2 RAIN websites on Geocities. Ahh.. the old page builder days. Eventually we fell into 1 website for the clan. We started Recruting. Early on we got members like SGT-Beach, Cliph, Carlos, Raptor, etc. As time went by we passed up 25 members. Rumors ripped us up thinking that we mod, and hacked. Which some of our members did. 1.0 was the mod zone of Red Faction. But we got back up on our feet, hitting over 40 members at one time. As time went on it stayed level. Members quitting, making other clans. Some joining, and dissapearing. Many things occoured. We recruited a member named Aragorn. He joined, and quit to make SK (The Sadistik Knights.) Another member we had named Max Payne quit, to make KoN. One of the first major Europeon clans. KoN was successful until the leader Max dissapeared. Members from KoN went on to make MaRiNe, and many others. Some members from RAIN, created [nNo]. Da Bruce from [nNo] quit to make =BoA=. RAIN_Nat, a former member went on to make AD. As time went on, with some of our loyal members left we decided to move up to 1.2 on March 1st 2002. As we did we lost a good portion of our members. But soon got many more. As SK got big, a gold team emerged from them called SKG. SKG Died after our strong allieship, and Naslund the leader, joined RAIN. More members like BabyJesus, Major, Savage and other skilled players had heard of RAIN and wanted to join. People started asking to join daily. I let skilled players in only now or else we would have been to crowded. Members like Soulreeper, |)rop, and a few more. With the 10 members that were skilled, we decided to make the RAIN *eLiTe* team. It was composed of 10 players that were above average and won many battles for us. The *eLiTeS* weren't the only great thing going on at this time, NeoGeo, SniperEyes, Fu$iOn, and some other members were making some kick ass maps that have become extremely popular in Red Faction like: Meadow, Omaha, Oasis, etc. We also had 6 members from the state of Montana. 5 of which went to the same school. Things were going great. Constantly playing on Hail the Rail server and owning everyone there. But times grew dark. :SoS:, and many other clans lured and drew some members into their clan. Babyjesus left us because he thought :SoS: was better. Major just dissapeared. And other members just quit Red Faction. I dediced after 9 months of playing Red Faction with my RAIN Tag, it was time for a change. I made DT (Distant Thunder). Brining the *eLiTeS* of RAIN with me, and a few others we got started. Aragorn quit SK and heard about DT. Joining with us he made us strong.

(Phoenix)Wolverine, leader of RAIN's greatest allie joined us as well. Many others like *R$K*Monkey, *UA*Snipe and other clan leaders fell into DT. 3 months all through the summer, tournament after tournament. Ladder after ladder. Battle after Battle. We hit 70 wins, and 3 losses. Holding #1 spot on huge tournaments on GLeagues, our clan was a major success. Beating more clans than any other clan in the history of Red Faction could ever come close to. Bad things started happening. TriX (RAIN_MacGyVeR) was being impersonated. Members quitting DT and Red Faction once and for all. And many other draw backs loosened our self esteam. We could not run this any longer. The Distant Thunder site was accidently damaged. And we had to share up room. DT's tragic death was on September 5th, 2002. Knowing I could bring RAIN back in this new 1.3 version made me happy. Bringing CaRN, NaZz, BioX, and gathering some old RAIN members. RAIN & DT have finished, and we have for the most part left Red Faction. Personally its full of ass holes that think they are better than other players, and make fun of this site by posting it on forums for a good laugh. There's nothing funny about it, it was our clan that we wanted to have fun as, and we did.
