Crazy Quilt SWIP
(Slow work in progress)
An ugly kinda Crazy Quilt, its 32 inches square, and has been pieced together with bits and pieces I wanted to find a home. Most of the embellishing is done all I need to do is finish with the seams.
The Crazy quilt in all its glory, left hand side has been slighty cut off.
Many of the fabrics came from a birthday swap.
The doodads, came from family and friends, who had no idea that plastic, polyester was considered a no no to some crazy quilters, not me, if I liked the look of it the item was kept till I found a home for it. The amazing thing with this quilt, is that only two items were bought a chicken pre embroidery motif and chicken button, as I liked them. Every thing else came out of my stash.
The large pansy motif, was a gift from the birthday swap, there is also a cross stitch angel which came out a op shop haul, these two items are the only items I did not stitch. All crochet motifs were crochet by my mother. Therefore the most favorite section is the owl with the crescent moon and single star.

Many of the stitched items were already done, I added them to the quilt as I pieced it. This crazy quilt was pieced together by hand. Except for a few patches where I used a new sewing machine.
The top section. Click on pictures for somewhat larger view.Below only
Various Stitched, beaded, sre and painted motifs that appear on some of the patches.
Painting on Fabric.
These three were added 23 october 2003
