eternumpace: and you can't appropriate
Feminine power with the very means of its inundation in the human psyche, myth
and poetry, without investing human reason in the diaphanous panacea that is
female biolgocial androgyne or christhood
Entering World Religion 1...
eternumpace: ok,
here's the lay of the land. there are certain physical laws which are without
question. namely the law of gravity and thermodynamics and the constan speed of
light . likewise it only
makes sense that there are similar laws operant upon the soul, or a
transpersonal body of systemic mammalian need dispersed throughtout the logos,
from vulgar myth, to heroic mythopoeics for which and from which we borrow,
something akin to imagination, wonder and awe and the mysteries thereof.
eternumpace: Another
way to put "evolution" is that our actions as humans can be taken to
be more precise manifestations of knowledge through the course of a given
narrative i.e. history, orthodoxy, science, evolution etc. And the "course"
can exist through space or time, memory or imagination because if true
democracy gives our ancestors a voice then actual stands on the same ground as
possible, known on the same ground as unkown, my life a position not just in
this time but within the entire realm of existence.
eternumpace: And,
paradoxically, I therefore, like you or anyone else, am a purveyor of
absolutely spontaneous instance/energy/matter/story and absolute tradition
because power is a funtion itself of position, like the positon from which one
might see a tree standing beside a blade of grass. My position effects my
awareness of proportion, position, itself the only real actuality within a
field of infinite and spontaneous potentiality. Proportion being the language
of Pattern, Pattern the cohort lets say of our literacy of consciousness
because you will notice I started by saying that the enfoldement of action
takes
eternumpace: place
through a story. The sun rises here and there. That is power. And so, as T.S.
Eliot writes in "Four Quartets" we return to where we started and
discover it for the first time, perfectly created and perfectly creative. We
want this! All of this! Its all we will ever do and the best consensus I can
find through the course of human history is that we are forever building a
greater place in which to do it,even as that place already exists! and by it I
do mean fucking in every sense of the word, but of course building a greater
place is the same as forming as from clay a better face, a better story by which
to
relate where and why we are. So,
you see,
eternumpace: both
the tenets of tradition and revolution are satisfied by our deepest desires as
infinitely unique positions in the cosmos. All things are permitted, including
non-permittence. We are gods, man. Let us gather round and tell the story of
today as though it were a thousand eons because it is and it is not, for doing
and not doing are one, for all we do is dream or not dream. Peter grins and
sits back. He leans and loafs and invites his soul.
eternumpace: CHORUS:
The name of the game is called spacing time
Which is not the name so much as
What the name of the game is called
Spacing Time is breathing
Moving within the stillness of infinite connectedness
Breath is attention
Attention, Proportion
Proportion, Power
Power, Word
Word, Music
Rock On
In the beginning there was Sex
And the Gods saw that it was good
Life is a Drug
Injest it and Remember, baby
Mother, Father, Child, Sun, Earth, Moon
All, like All, are metaphors for Lust, the Mother and Daughter of Charity
For All denote the awe inspiring proportions of earth bound divinity
The Music and Power and Geography and Grace of the Body

janiepop: lol
velvt.: i was wondering if we were heading for a last frost date sometime
in june or july this year
deliver_us_from_eve: snow... where?
eternumpace: we
make the weather what it is. i really believe that
velvt.: NW wisconsin
velvt.: could very well be pace
deliver_us_from_eve: goodness... i guess we had snow at the beginning of last week
here (in michigan)
janiepop: my
dad was meteorologist
velvt.: i live in a sort of bubble of protection, i think... the worst of
the weather seems to miss me and the mile or so around me
janiepop: there
are little 'pockets' like that
eternumpace: my
dad was a gynecologist so it was always kindof muggy
deliver_us_from_eve: lucky you... i used to live on lake huron and we got bad lake
effect
velvt.: yep, lucky me
velvt.: oh pace... ugh!
janiepop: my
Dad was the waether man on the local tv station for many years
velvt.: cool janie
eternumpace: that's
neat, janie
deliver_us_from_eve: pace that was bad... lol
velvt.: my dad had a short lived TV show on the local PBS station
deliver_us_from_eve: thats
neat... being a weather man would be fun
janiepop: did
he vel
velvt.: yeah... on electronic communications... ham radios, CBs,
antennas etc
janiepop: deliver
he spent his whole life looking out to heaven
deliver_us_from_eve: what about?
eternumpace: tee
hee
janiepop: he
was a very spiritual man
deliver_us_from_eve: fun
deliver_us_from_eve: weather definitely puts
deliver_us_from_eve: weather definitely puts you in touch w/ god
janiepop: vel a
bit like an electronic tool time
deliver_us_from_eve: my
illegal activity is causing a bit o lag
janiepop: loveeeee
Tool Time
velvt.: boy, i really hate this chat program
janiepop: Mike
watches it every aftternoon
velvt.: and my computer... the combination is deadly
velvt.: it's a fun show, janie
deliver_us_from_eve: tim allens from my state
janiepop: vel have
you found a better chat prgram
velvt.: not really... i go to yahoo now and then but don't know many there
janiepop: before
you answer it must be free lol
deliver_us_from_eve: this is still my fave chat so far
velvt.: i just chat a whole lot less now
janiepop: what
state are you in deliver
deliver_us_from_eve: the whole avatar thing makes it more... intimate i guess
velvt.: i miss most, i think, the fun with avatars in VP... they just
aren't as good here now
deliver_us_from_eve: michigan
janiepop: a ha
deliver_us_from_eve: tim allen is from detroit... well the burbs of detroit
velvt.: i miss beng in observe, too
maristeluna: I miss obs too
eternumpace: presses
his face against the monitor and feels the warm static glow of
electrons...yep....tis ver intimate :--)
janiepop: what
is the best thing about living in the state of michigan
maristeluna: lol@pace
deliver_us_from_eve: lol... dont get a tumor pace
velvt.: what a wonderful question, janie!
eternumpace: dono
get a tumah
deliver_us_from_eve: michigan... its the best of both worlds nice cities and lots of
green space and
lakes and even a little skiing if you like that
janiepop: jane
always wants to know about why you live where you live eh vel lol
deliver_us_from_eve: yes an excellent question
velvt.: i like the upper midwest here in the USA
velvt.: seasons, nature, cities, country, wilderness
deliver_us_from_eve: well i live here cause i was born here but it is beautiful... few
states are so green as michigan
deliver_us_from_eve: gotta love seasons
eternumpace: to
every thing, turn turn turn, there is a season, turn turn turn
velvt.: i lived in california for about 11 years and really missed the
seasons
maristeluna: I am in mid new york......and also love the greenness and seasonal
changes.....
velvt.: i don't know why any TV station has a weatherman in CA
velvt.: and water! lakes and rivers!
maristeluna: when I was in NC, there was ...differing hot and cold, but never
any SNOW.....even tho it got cold enough.....just all the miseries of the cold
with none of the fun
janiepop: the
east coast of Australia has 2 seasons
deliver_us_from_eve: lol... today it will be... sunny
janiepop: hot
and temperate
deliver_us_from_eve: soundes like the southern US
eternumpace: i am
having a nightmare that i didn't study hard enough in geography
velvt.: lol pace
janiepop: lol
velvt.: it was always one of my worst subjects
deliver_us_from_eve: bah @ geography
deliver_us_from_eve: you can look it up... lol
maristeluna: I helped my daughter last night cram-finish a paper on Vietnam,
where her father is from.....
janiepop: my US
geography has improved since coming to chat
velvt.: then they had to go and change the names of most of the
countries... and i lost what little i knew
maristeluna: that was actually fun till she got burntout and wailing that she
WAS going to failllllllll
velvt.: lol maris... a wee bit of self induced pressure panic?
janiepop: mariste
how old is she
maristeluna: yes..and she is 16
eternumpace: you
wanna mystical geography lesson? read the appendices to tolkien's Lord of the
Rings?
janiepop: mmm
sounds familiar
deliver_us_from_eve: US geographyis vastly overrated... it seems unfair to expect
people to know our states when i cant name provinces from anywhere
maristeluna: and born on hallowe'en....a VERY strong child
janiepop: NZ is
mystical
eternumpace: ah. a
Scorpio?
velvt.: i agree, deliver
janiepop: mariste
they make the best adults
deliver_us_from_eve: id lurve to see NZ
velvt.: and i also don't think we should call ourselves americans when we
only mean the USA
maristeluna: which, the scorpios or the strong ones? lol
eternumpace: my
dad is a scorpio and i hate him
janiepop: the
wildest heifers make the calmest cows
maristeluna: and yes, Pace, the LOTR appendices ARE fascinating
deliver_us_from_eve: i completely agree wel
maristeluna: I would love to go say....to the Havens right about now...wry laugh
eternumpace: some
people say that tolkien was actually tryint to write the real history of the
world and all about Atlantis
eternumpace: and
other lost civilisations
maristeluna: that's a valid hypothesis....
janiepop: eternum
it was interesting that they filmed Lor in NZ
velvt.: i heard that they found something in russia that pushes back the
dates of civilizations by millions of years
maristeluna: he WAS good friends with whatsisname, who wrote all the Narnia
books....
eternumpace: oh
ya, they did!
janiepop: it's
sooooooo mystical
velvt.: i don't know what it is though
eternumpace: Lewis
Carol
maristeluna: no...that isn't who, ergh, I should know this one
deliver_us_from_eve: the
narnia guy was a bit heavy handed with the christian references
velvt.: lewis
maristeluna: yes, he was
deliver_us_from_eve: cs lewis
maristeluna: yes
maristeluna: ty
eternumpace: CS
Lewis! sorry
maristeluna: but still beautiful books.....
deliver_us_from_eve: yes i loved them when i was little
maristeluna: I think that .....the Last Battle tho.....
eternumpace: i do
know they have now pushed back the date of the Sphinx from 4000 bc to 10500 bc
velvt.: well, lewis was a christian philosopher/theologian
maristeluna: has some seeds of things about Eternity tho...that are more like
rebirth....than Heavenish
maristeluna: I have gone back to the sequences at the end....over and over, in
many ways
velvt.: on a friend's recommendation, i read a series of books about
arthur, merlyn, etc... and it made me puke. they had merlyn being
christian
maristeluna: ack, Vel
eternumpace: puke?
eternumpace: heheh
thats a strong word, vel :-)
velvt.: figurative puking
deliver_us_from_eve: anglo saxon tradition has been completely BASTARDIZED by the
church
eternumpace: a
christian-heathen is arguably as old as time itself so that would, in a manner,
make sense
maristeluna: go more into that one, pace?
deliver_us_from_eve: its sad to see the obvious christian overlayin epics like beowulf
maristeluna: yes....
eternumpace: well,
it is my contention that christianith is really just an extension of the
neolithic belief in the Great Mother
maristeluna: a dead end extension? wry smile
janiepop: except
for it's patriachy hun lol
maristeluna: ~covers mouth~ hehe
velvt.: it IS sad, deliver, and in a way the saddest part is that
christianity felt it had to borrow from the religions it was trying to replace
deliver_us_from_eve: there is no place for roman catholicism in anglo saxon epics
eternumpace: for
this reason, christian philosophy cements the imagination as the real skeleton
key of cultural history
velvt.: 'roman' is the key word... except that they tried to replace, not
incorporate, as the romans did
deliver_us_from_eve: vel we leardned ALOT about that borowwing in my early brit lit
class... crazy
how much they borrowed really
maristeluna: incorporate......I like inclusion
janiepop: liberal
Catholics are onto it lol
eternumpace: it
takes imagination, i know to envision partriarchy as a willful manifestation of
the power of the Goddess
deliver_us_from_eve: *cannot spell today
maristeluna: this...is true, pace
maristeluna: lol
deliver_us_from_eve: lol
janiepop: eternum
in actual fact I think it takes very littel imagination lol
deliver_us_from_eve: *imaginin real hardlike
maristeluna: laughs w/ Janie
deliver_us_from_eve: always looking for a way to validate the patriarchy...lol
velvt.: pace, i totally don't get that bit about imagination and
christianity
janiepop: liberal
Catholics are onto it
janiepop: orthodox
Catholics aren't
janiepop: *grin*
eternumpace: throws
his hands up and catches them
velvt.: lol
velvt.: pace, you have a group of strong women here, in case you hadn't
realized
janiepop: here's
a question
deliver_us_from_eve: lol...
grrrr
maristeluna: 'n you thought it would be a quiet discussion, hehe
janiepop: what
will become of the Catholic church in the USA
maristeluna: ..........ye-es......
janiepop: they
are already divided
eternumpace: the
blood and water that comes out of christs wound is most evidently the blood and
water of childbirth, thereby delianating that in order to have any power the
male priesthood must take on the power of Woman
velvt.: because of the sexual abuse stuff?
deliver_us_from_eve: well
at this rate theyll be villified by outsiders but stay
strong within
janiepop: but
the better question is
velvt.: well, pace, that sure got buried somewhere along the way
janiepop: what
wil become of the orthodox Catholic arm of the church because of the scandals
velvt.: janie, i think they likely will firm up their handling of these
cases... if they don't they are fools.
eternumpace: and
you can't appropriate Feminine power with the very means of its inundation in
the human psyche, myth and poetry, without investing human reason in the
diaphanous panacea that is female biolgocial androgyne or christhood
velvt.: and if they finally take strong measures, things will be ok, i
would think
deliver_us_from_eve: from what ive seen first hand practicing catholics are supporting
the church... but i live in a small town
janiepop: vel
to do that they have to change the structure
velvt.: just another board for catholic bashers to use
eternumpace: thereby,
patriarchy is an extension of matriarchy
eternumpace: thereby,
patriarchy is an extension of matriarchy. q.e.d.
eternumpace: i
love it when a plan comes together --Hannibal, "The A-Team"
eternumpace: staple
of my misbeggoten youth
velvt.: wish i had my brain functioning well enough to go into that with
you pace
janiepop: while
ever the structure is monitoring itself nothing will change
velvt.: that is the greatest danger, janie... the secretiveness
janiepop: yes
vel
velvt.: things have to come out in the open, and be regulated whether it be
internally or externally
deliver_us_from_eve: i just think its so sad that this is by no means the first time
preist pedophiles have been outed and the church is still stuck at go
janiepop: the
hierachical structure of the church is at the bottom of the problem (no pun
intended)
velvt.: yes, deliver... it's time and past time that they clean up
deliver_us_from_eve: for petes sake there are movies about this and still nothing
velvt.: lol janie
janiepop: deliver
you know I'm a Catholic ?
deliver_us_from_eve: do behave janie... lol
velvt.: a question janie... what do catholics in other countries have to
say about this mess?
deliver_us_from_eve: yes... im interested to hear an inside view actually
eternumpace: i
have to be off soon. i hope you will think of me, this poor man with his fetid
weary tool of a misbegotten body, when you are dancing to the rhymths of earth
and sky and bleeding the blood of my ancestors upon the starry spires of my
childhood fantasies
janiepop: horrified
as they are with the scandals in their own countries vel
janiepop: many
many ppl have left the church in Australia over this very issue
velvt.: of course we will, pace... did you need to ask?
eternumpace: lol,
vel
velvt.: politics are so destructive to spirituality
velvt.: the politics of power in any structured organization
janiepop: we
love ya hun so how ever you want to be thought of ..we will do
maristeluna: does
religion itself qualify as a form of politics?
maristeluna: laughs..you just answered that, Velvt, as I was typing
deliver_us_from_eve: this sort of crainess is why i prefer to side step the religion
and get to the spirituality
velvt.: seems to fall into the arena, maris
janiepop: mariste
we'd have to say yes indeedy
deliver_us_from_eve: craziness
maristeluna: I do too, Deliver.....just......hmmmm
velvt.: i have joined a religion, after decades of going it on my own
maristeluna: sometimes I look at religion like a recipe.....you follow it,
perhaps....just look at it the first time you venture out...and then improvise
velvt.: but it's a pretty loosely structured one, although i see increasing
signs of political strife even so
deliver_us_from_eve: an excellent view mari
maristeluna: which is that, Velvt?
janiepop: say
how vel
velvt.: cool, maris... i like that approach
velvt.: maris, eckankar is the religion
maristeluna: I usually take it on any ideas....not just religion....kind of how
we learn...
maristeluna: ohh, I think I remember you showing us a site for that, awhile ago
velvt.: and janie, a bit of infighting between old and new, and demands for
central control of things that used to be local
janiepop: vel
is this going to be a shortlived adjustment
velvt.: i don't know
velvt.: the religion has been going through a long period of change,
relatively speaking
velvt.: i don't like one aspect i notice more and more
velvt.: what i want to call 'pandering' to the great unwashed public, so to
speak
velvt.: no offense, i hope LOL
deliver_us_from_eve: nah
janiepop: tell
us more mate
velvt.: but you see mention of angels, for instance... and other trappings
of christianity
maristeluna: hmmm
velvt.: it's designed to encourage christians to investigate this path
janiepop: ahhh
vel that would seem almost antithical to the Spirit of Eckankar from what you
have explained of it
velvt.: but i don't like it
velvt.: i understand what they are trying to do, i just disagree with the
methodology
velvt.: too much hopping on a popular bandwagon, basically
velvt.: i'm not sure of the source of it, though
janiepop: that
was what attracted you to eck vel ...it's groundedness asn't it
janiepop: ?
deliver_us_from_eve: im out of my depthon his discussion
velvt.: certainly made it more attractive for me, janie
deliver_us_from_eve: this
velvt.: sorry deliver... we can let it go :)
janiepop: deliver
we can
deliver_us_from_eve: no its quite alright... really
velvt.: janie has been the recipient of my blatherings for ages now
deliver_us_from_eve: lol
janiepop: we
have all indulged one another here
velvt.: and learned a lot in the process, i might add
maristeluna: I have to talk to one of the children now.....hugsssss you all./
deliver_us_from_eve: THATS a nice change from CC in itself
maristeluna: very nice to see and talk....
janiepop: I
have driven prefectly sane ppl crazy
velvt.: take care, maris
deliver_us_from_eve: bye mar nice meetin you
janiepop: haven't
I vel lol
maristeluna: take care....smiles...and hopefully we can do this again soon
janiepop: bye
maris take care
janiepop: and
don't worry about the 16 yr old
eternumpace: i cordially invite you to a small gathering of friends in World Religion
chat. nothing heavy. just folks that like it quiet
maristeluna: hugs.....perhaps in a few...phone.....
eternumpace: ok doky doggy
daddy
maristeluna: i am in such a bad state here
eternumpace: wassup?
eternumpace: to do with the
court thingy?
maristeluna: in throes of...such pain
maristeluna: kind of but more that he now is insisting on divorce
maristeluna: and exerting more controlling crap, which is painful
eternumpace: yikes. you know.
jane is a trained clinical counsellor. she would be of some help to you, not
that i mind being a ear for ya, hun
maristeluna: i already had therapy today
maristeluna: and tuesday
maristeluna: just painful and he just had been crappy on the phone
so....very...crying
eternumpace: oooh. *hugs*
maristeluna: ty
eternumpace: sounds like
quite the emotional loop de loop for ya
maristeluna: yeah
eternumpace: do you have a
lawyer?
maristeluna: not......really
maristeluna: a public defender from the court thing
eternumpace: hmm. hope things
work out well for ya. i'm certain they will. if i were you i would just pray
its over quickly. these things can drag on and on can't they?
maristeluna: he.wants it over fast
maristeluna: i don't
maristeluna: i mean
maristeluna: i don't know, it is really hard to....figure it out
maristeluna: sorry i am not very coherent right now
eternumpace: that's quite
alright. tis not terribly hard to understand how painful that might be for
someone, for you. lol. and here i am wanting to get married to someone. how
strange hat must seem to you
maristeluna: no, actually is isn't
maristeluna: I long for a mate, who would truly BE that.....and not someone who sighs
and pushes aside every attempt at my giving affection to them...who complains
bitterly because his children run to greet him at the end of the days.....
maristeluna: who would be happy that I cooked a homemade meal.....not sit there and
grimace because the beans were just overcooked, or say that it was too salty or
the "tastes don't blend properly"
eternumpace: divorce im
maristeluna: I..I know
maristeluna: I just hate his derogatory ....crap when he even TALKS about it......
maristeluna: and I hate ....giving in to his nasty .....strong-arm tactics
eternumpace: my da was like
that to my mum. i couldn't stand it. now i live with the sonofabitch god bless
im
maristeluna: wry laugh
eternumpace: its strange that
in relationships you believe that for the sake of the relationship you can
always make some sacrifice or concession and then you meet someone like my dad
who is just plain obstinate to the core and not a little emotionally immature,
even for good reason (his da was a drunk)
maristeluna: yes.....
maristeluna: I bent over backwards for him.....being jerked this way and that, trying
to please him and in the end, nothing was good enough.....
eternumpace: tis at these
times one must have faith in the irrational, a dream world with all truth but
no logic, somewhere over the rainbow. a hot bath a good book and lots of
chocolate
maristeluna: ~snort~ lol
eternumpace: tis true!
maristeluna: i know
eternumpace: oh. and rent
Jerry McGuire. A must!
eternumpace: and "As
Good As It Gets" with Jack Nicholson
maristeluna: I hardly ever watch movies....can't sit still long enough, doing naught
eternumpace: doing naught?
you are exercising your mythic imagination...:-)
maristeluna: I always do, wry smile
maristeluna: love archaic words
eternumpace: ya. then you
would love subadomia
maristeluna: tell me bout that again?
maristeluna: remembering vague rememberings about it from the other night, lol
maristeluna: i knew if i could come in here into a good discussion......i would feel
better
eternumpace: subadomic = noun. adv. pl = subadomia --- having
equal parts sub and dom...>>>2. the practice of whipping around a sub
so that he hurts people ...>>>3. waiting until a dom isn't looking and
hiding her whip in the refrigerator next to the mountain dew
maristeluna: righttttt.......now it all comes back, lol.....tyty
